JinvooSmart Wireless WiFi Plug Smart Water/Gas Valve 2.4GHz Compatible with iOS/Android,Compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant

The media could not be loaded.  Couple of tips. If you already use an app to control devices, you may not have to add another one including Jinvoo. I used tuya as the interface and added it as a smart WiFi plug.On the install make sure the pivot point of the valve aligns perfectly with the jinvo motor pivot point. (See photos) (Simple engineering). The brackets can be installed in 2 directions, use the one that allows you to clamp to the pipe as close to the pivot point as possible. I used the least intuitive one, but allowed me to do what I mentioned. Otherwise again, the whole unit tries to pivot when in motion to the weakest point on the setup, and that is on the bracket. You want the transmission to transfer It’s force directly to the valve as much as possible. Now adjust the limit screws.There are 2 things that could be improved here. One is to set what happens when the power to the unit comes back from a blackout, either by software or physically inside the unit. At this point it automatically turns off the valve. I went inside the unit and lacks of a jumper. It could be possibly done by rewiring the limit switches and changing the polarity on the motor. But probably not worth the time for the price of this unit.Please let me know if there is another way to do it that I’m probably not looking into. It Will be appreciated.Second is, again simple engineering. The screws that adjust the limit have rollers, but they lock when you tighten them. To compensate for minimum misalignment, (only if you don’t perfectly align the pivot points) should spin to avoid friction. They should have used shoulder screws and then the brass rollers on the outside. In my case my valve has a rubberish handle, and grips to the rollers some. (Of course i could have removed the rubber on it, but decided not to) So just make sure you have a tiny clearance in between them and the valve lever on both close and open position. Btw i flipped the screws because it was easier for me to hold the screw from the side facing me and tightening the nut with a small wrench on the back. I know, they are supposed to be inexpensive devices., and not perfect. But those are my 2 cents.One video shows it working with Alexa. I added a warning on the Alexa routine in case (and it happens) somebody triggers it by mistake or Alexa misunderstands me. (All the time!!!)The second video shows what it does when is idling on, then looses power, and then power comes back.Overall, I believe is good enough, it does the job for now ;)

I bought this to turn off the water to my home while I'm away, with the capability to turn it back on remotely for the person who waters the plants.I have ball valves on both sides of my in-line water filter but this unit couldn't move either of them reliably and the mounting to these valves didn't align well. The existing valves are over 30 years old and a little stiff to turn so this issues isn't necessarily a problem with the Jinvoo but it is something to be aware of if you are planning on operating an existing valve with this unit and the reason I gave it only four stars. If it worked on the existing valves I would have given it all five stars.I was able to add a new SharkBite 3/4" slip valve in the line that rotated easily and the Jinvoo could operate. I used the SharkBite for easy installation and because the controller mounted perfectly on the slip end. See the pictures for the mounting.An extra bonus for me was that it worked with the Tuya Smart iPhone app, which I was already using to monitor water leak sensors, so I didn't need an extra app on my phone. The Tuya app seems more useful than the Jinvoo app so I would consider using that even if I didn't have other sensors.One word of caution - the power up default for this unit is Off. That means if you lose power the water will be turned off when the power comes back on. This makes sense since Off is safer than On in most applications but it is important to know this if you come home someday and your water is off. You likely had a power failure while you were gone and the unit defaulted to the Off position when the power came back on. If you have a critical application where the water can't be turned off without you're knowledge you might want to consider another device.

Everything seems to work great. However, two issues cost it a star.1) Not compatible with any of my hubs and I have all of the most widely used.2) I hate that when the power goes out, then comes back on, it automatically closes the valve. Not great for a system on a well as when the power kicks on, the pump generally kicks on to bring the pressures back up, but the valve stays closed. The pump then runs dry and burns out. Not good!Maybe they can fix this with a firmware update. At least make it an option to reopen upon power coming back on. Be worth another star if they did.Otherwise, if you are not using a well pump, this works well. I’m keeping mine in hopes they update it. If not I may have to move it to a valve AFTER the pump, which could defeat the purpose of the pump itself springs a leak.

Excelente Producto! Lo recibi hoy y en 5 minutos lo instalamos, Ahora no tengo que estar saliendo afuera a prender y a apagar el calentador de agua cada vez que voy a ulilizar el agua caliente! Lo recomiendo 5+++++

In general the smart valve works as advertised and seems very sturdy. On a side note, I don't like to rely on cloud services so I flash my ESP based devices, but these one come in all sorts of variations. TYWE3S is ok and can be flashed with tasmota, esphome and others, but WB3S modules are useless to me. Unfortunately, there is no way to know which one you'll get.

I installed this a couple of months ago to use with the Shanmau wifi leak detector. They work great together! Just a note.... If your power OR wifi is down the valve shuts off! I'm sure that is a safer position than on without power. But even if it loses a wifi connection it will shut off too. Just be aware of it. There is a pin you can pull to manually turn the valve back on. I used the smart life app to tell the valve to shut off when the leak detector is triggered, works perfectly through the automation section in the app.

La instalación fue muy sencilla. Me gusta que funciona con la app de Smart Life (que a su vez se conecta con Alexa).La instalé en la llave de paso del municipio a mi casa, para que cada vez que se encienda mi bomba presurizadora (instalada después del tinaco), se cierre automáticamente el suministro de agua del municipio Y viseversa. Nota: La bomba la tengo también conectada con un dispositivo initeligente.

Producto de excelente calidad, aunque la instalación es bastante complicada ya que no trae manual de instrucciones, solo trae un panfleto donde explica donde bajar la app pero la instalación física debes hacerla de manera intuitiva por que aun en la caja no muestra el como realizarla.

Este producto me facilitó el manejo de mi valvula de paso, ahora no tengo necesidad de salir solo a cerrar/abrir la llave, lo puedo hacer con ayuda de "alexa" o la App.

La válvula se activa a la perfección y se acopla bien con alexa pero no unciona el programa de timer, se apaga autimáticamente a los 6 minutos o menos, no hay forma de modificar el tiempo, este detalle es lo que hizo que no me sirviera el producto
