Does what it says on the packet!
This is one of many Netgear products I have bought over the years. I am never disappointed, and they are always good value for money, performing exactly as described or better. This router is no different. I bought it to replace a recalcitrant older router of another make which I had spent almost a day trying to get to connect to my new fibre connection. This one went straight in, using a mobile app, no problems - I should have bought this first and done something more useful with the wasted time! I would recommend this!

Excellent performance with Vodafone Full Fibre 500
Bought this to replace the Vodafone supplied router as it was a bit underwhelming with its Wi-Fi range, speeds, and buggy firmware. With Vodafone you will need to ask them for your PPPoE username and password. The Netgear RS100 appealed to me as it was relatively cheap (does not have 6GHz Wi-Fi), from a reputable brand with decent support / firmware updates. It works really well, my broadband speeds are 500/70 which is what the Vodafone supplied router got but the RS100 is more consistent (using ethernet cable and over Wi-Fi) and web browsing feels more responsive. My PlayStation 5 also works really well with UPNP working as expected. If you want a no nonsense router that is affordable you cant go wrong with this, just make sure it is what you need as it doesn't support mesh networks (meaning for good coverage throughout your entire home you need to place it somewhere central), and lacks 6GHz Wi-Fi. The most interesting feature though is you can also disable the LED lights from blinking when there is network activity :-)

If running any linux distro, be sure to check your fstab and any NAS shares.
Finally managed to set it up after it had decided to change all the ip addresses from 192.***.***.*** to 10.***.***.***. I spent 4 hours fault finding. I had to edit my fstab (linux) as I had about 30 locations to shared folders on my NAS. It was a right PITA.

Netgear not compatible
My wife ordered this following an email from Netgear which stated our current router was no longer going to be updated and that we needed this new one. Perhaps I should mention my wife has Alzheimer’s. It was not until this arrived that it clicked that our old router was NOT a netgear one and that this netgear recommended one was not compatible with our setup.

Very average
It does basics well. The admin interface could use some polishing.

Easy to set-up and great WiFi coverage
We bought this to replace an ISP-provided ZTE router. It was simple to set-up and greatly improved our WiFi coverage. It works extremely well with our Netgear EAX 80, giving an effective and easily managed Mesh system at a very reasonable price. The system has “Armor Now” additional security at an additional price for those who feel they need that protection, but this is simple to disable for those who don’t need/want it.

Absolutely Awful Quality
Sadly was given the wrong information. I was informed this would work with a fibre connection, sadly it's not the case. Also as some have mentioned the build quality is awful, something I wasn't expecting from Netgear. Then I was told to buy a separate hub to then use this as I Active Point instead, that would be a waste of money. Getting returned
