These adapters work well. They are as pictured & as described. Out of the box, they require a threaded headphone plug. For my personal use I didn't want the threads, I just wanted an ultra low profile adapter for a standard/non-threaded 1/8" headphone/audio plugs. I used my milling machine to mill away the threaded section of the brass barrel, & that resulted in a very low profile non-threaded adapter, which is shorter than any others available on amazon. Glad these shipped as a 2 pack, because my first attempt at milling resulted in a failure of the plastic that joins the plug barrel to the threaded brass collar. It was my mistake. I used v-blocks to clamp directly to the 6.35mm plug barrel, rather than clamping to the brass collar itself. Endmill chatter cracked the plastic, & the brass barrel crashed into the mill & tore away -- as pictured & again, my mistake. On my 2nd milling attempt I clamped with v-blocks onto the smooth section of the brass barrel (rather than the main plug shaft). I took much smaller passes & that worked perfectly. The end result is much shorter than other adapters available anywhere. The total modded length (as pictured, w threads removed) is 38.25mm. Original length, before modding, was 43mm. I realize its likely that less than .01% of buyers will attempt this mod. Simply documenting for posterity & for anyone looking for that super low-profile adapter that cant be had anywhere else. Excellent quality. Use only for headphones with screw on 3.5mm stereo plug.

Doesn’t fit snug or stay in. Fits into my audio mixer just fine, but can’t use my headphones for monitoring.

Item shown and described as Gold Plated, the item shipped is not Gold plated. This is a functional feature, not just aesthetics . Chrome plating peels and oxidizes, gold does not !!! Shipped cheaper product and hoped I wouldn't notice !!! ITEM SHIPPED IS NOT AS DESCRIBED !!!!
