These read and write pretty quickly on my cell phones and computers. When I'm traveling and want to keep a safe copy of photos, I keep one of these in the side pocket of my jeans in a thin zipper plastic bag. (The bag keeps out dust and also makes it hard to accidentally lose the drive.) But the plastic piece that slides along the side of the drive -- to open either the USB-A or USB-C connector -- has broken on two different drives while in my pocket. This makes it impossible to access the connectors.

Unless you remove the unnecessary outer case that this thing sides in and out of, but then it's a bit exposed and I feel a bit fragile. So.. it sits unused waiting for the day that phones double in size along with the cut out for the port where this plugs in.

I actually purchased the 64GB version by mistake at a brick-and-mortar retail establishment, and was delighted to realize that I could employ it to move large files between my older Macs and my M1 MBP, which otherwise requires a dongle to accept the Type A connection. The higher-capacity unit is also fine.I gather from some of the one-star reviews that a few customers have run into trouble using these with Windows/Android/iOS. I can only speak to my Mac-to-Mac experience, which has been seamless.

Works fine and is a nice amount of storage for the money. The only negative is that the body of the drive is wider than it needs to be and creates a problem if you need to plug it into closely spaced inputs along with another device.

I’m not impressed by the quality of this item. It seems to be flimsy and I’m concerned that the information I’m storing on this device will be lost because it will fall apart if I use it very often.

I ordered the PNY Android device described here - but received a different PNY device for an iPhone (see the attached picture.) And I didn't remember I ordered an Android device until I received the email to review this!I did use the iPhone device and it worked perfectly. I imagine the PNY Android device would work just as well. I've never had any issue with PNY products and would have given this 5 stars if I actually received it!

The slide that allows for switching between USB 3 and C does not slip. This is the only duo I like, and I've tried all I could find.

Hab ihn bereits 3x gekauft.Vorteile:- USB C und USB A Anschluss- Anschlüsse zum Transport sind verdeckt ohne extra Kappe- Preis Leistung ok- schnelles LesenNachteile:- Schreibgeschwindigkeit nicht die Schnellste für USB3 (stört mich aber nicht gravierend)- Schieberegler für die beiden Anschlüsse ist filigran. Funktioniert bei mir einwandfrei, man sollte jedoch nicht grob damit umgehen, dann kann ich mir vorstellen, warum manche schreiben, dass es kaputt ist.Dennoch ist es mir lieber so, als eine offene Schnittstelle zu transportieren

Der Stick wäre an sich 'ne feine Sache, da sich mit ihm Daten zwischen PC und Smartphone ohne OTG-Kabel austauschen bzw. auf beiden Geräten lesen lassen. Auch die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit geht in Ordnung. In der Praxis kommt es aber auf beiden Anschlüssen so häufig zu Verbindungsabbrüchen, dass die Übertragung größerer Dateien oft nur in mehreren Anläufen und die Wiedergabe von Medien kaum ohne Abbrüche möglich ist. Deshalb geht der Stick zurück.

Nur dass die USB C Seite nicht beidseitig zur Datenübertragung funktionniert. In meinen S9 kann och den Stick einseitig einstecken. Sonst sehr praktisch und funktionniert einwandfrei. Plastik ist nicht von sehr guter Qualität aber erfüllt sinen Zweck.

Hatte bisher keine Probleme mit diesem Stick. Beide Seiten funktionieren wunderbar. Plastik ist halt Plastik, aber der Stick hebt bis jetzt (ist seit ca. einem Jahr in meinem Mäppchen)

An sich wäre das Konzept super:- Kompakter Stick mit USB- und USB-C-Anschluss- hohe Speicherkapazität 128 GBLeider funktioniert der Stick nicht richtig; er wird bei Übertragung großer Dateien sehr warm und stellt dann den Betrieb ein, d.h. die Datenübertragung bricht ab. Schade!
