No more stuck jar lids! Awesome tool, just be careful: once wet paint is on it, it's a hair triggered paint splattering tool
This is incredible, it mixes up 20 year old testors paints like a champ! And best of all, no more stupid shaking jars which not only fails to mix heavy pigment clumps stuck to the bottom of the jar, but also gets paint stuck on the bottom of the lid, gluing the lid shut for next time, and causing dried paint to fall back into the jar potentially clogging your airbrush next time. This thing is just great and works perfectly. It really packs a punch! It's so satisfying, I get a smile every time I use it because I know its just obliterating all the clumps of paint pigment at the bottom of the jar! I was also impressed how well balanced it spins, considering the length of the snout and the way the shaft just press fits directly to the motor shaft. It actually balances out with motor RPM. (Although I'm sure if it got bent, it would be violently unbalanced.) Best of all, there's no splashing (as long as you follow the directions and be careful to never spin it when not submerged! I managed to splatter paint all over my workspace once when I accidentally hit the trigger setting it down after I had just mixed a jar of paint and needed 2 hands to screw the lid on... When that happens it splatters paint in 360 degrees and further than you want!) The only downsides are: 1. Its kind of long and cumbersome to store when not in use, but the shaft used a metal on metal friction press fit, so I don't feel comfortable removing and reinstalling the shaft each time I use it as I fear it would become looser over time. It doesn't fit back in the box when assembled, and setting it down is somewhat liable to depress the trigger. Unless you want to pop the batteries in and out after every use. All in all not a big deal. 2. Once it has wet paint on it, as soon as you remove it from the jar, it's a hair trigger handheld paint splatter disaster waiting to happen.. 3. The head of the tool (the metal 6 point star that actually does the mixing) is kind of a weird shaped metal piece stamped/clamped onto the end of the shaft, with a few little crevices for paint to hide in after mixing. This makes it hard to ever be certain you've gotten 100% of the paint cleaned off so you don't contaminate the next jar. What I do after use is to VERY CAREFULLY (cautious to not trigger it!) move it to point down inside a wastebasket with a disposable plastic bag lining, and spin it, which will launch virtually all the paint onto the walls of your wastebasket. Then stick it into a jar of thinner and spin it to clean the rest, finished with a final wipe on white paper towel to visually verify no paint remains. Excellent value. Highly recommended to any modeler, you will shake your head at the idea of shaking jars once you use this.

Nifty little paint stirrer
I ordered a Badger Air-Brush Co. 121 Paint Mixer on a whim. I have mixed small bottles of paint by hand for 60 years. It was always a bit messy and I wasn't really sure I had all the pigment uniformly mixed in. I have had this mixer for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. It quickly mixes the paint thoroughly. I use mostly Tamiya paints in 10 and 23cc bottles and it works excellently in both. Battery-power makes it easy to handle. The on/off switch is well-placed so I can hold and operate the stirrer in one hand and the paint bottle in the other. As advised in the instructions, do not turn it on until it is well into the paint bottle. Likewise, do not pull it out of the bottle until it has stopped spinning. Otherwise it would throw paint over a fairly large area. Clean-up is fairly simple. I use mostly acrylics, so I stick it in a large bottle of water and turn it on for few seconds, then wipe off anything still on it with a tissue. My only complaint is the length of the stirrer. I would be happier with one about 2" to 3" long, or maybe offer the short stirrer as an add-on. I recommend this stirrer for anyone who paints very often.

Mini mixer..Update
It is a mixer intended to mix paint in small containers. 1/2 oz, 1 oz. bottles, etc., It works very well however the one I received might be defective. The small disc at the end of the shaft comes loose. It sort of is just wedged/compressed on to the shaft. I have not seen any other reviews that have mentioned the issue I am having so perhaps I received a lemon, but the item costs 6 bucks? So I'm not inclined to return it at my cost. Maybe I'll contact the seller and see what they say. But, despite that, it does mix enamels, which is what I use for airbrushing, really well..much better then anything you can achieve by hand. And when paint for airbrushing is not mixed really well and thinned as needed, it's almost a guarantee of lousy results. So I'm disappointed that the one I received is defective but I don't want to slam it completely as when it is in tact it does a good job. So 3 stars is maximum I can give it. I'll let you'll know the results of my contact with supplier.happy painting! **just wanted to update this review..The update really concerns the seller TCP Global, the seller i purchased this from...After contacting TCP complaining about the mixer being defective, I told them that I didn't want to spend the 5 bucks to ship it back for replacement...within 2 hours of my email going out..on Sunday morning no less...I received a response from their customer service team: "a new Badger paint mixer is on the way"...no problem. For me this is the type of customer care rarely experienced these days. When I'm looking for airbrush or related stuff Ill go to TCP first as my source. .. TCP has consistently had the best prices, the stuff I want and their customer service is top of the line. 5 ***** for TCP....4 **** for the mixer

Good for stirring paint in 2oz bottles
Works well enough stirring paint pots up. Better paddle design could stir paint better.

A great little mixer with a small mixing paddle that will fit through the neck of small paint bottles. The mixing paddle quickly mixes up settled and separated paints and reblends paint that has gone lumpy, A great mixer that does a great job.

Er ontbreekt een onderdeel aan deze mixer, de garde. Wel retour gestuurd maar nog niets van gehoord. Hoop dat het goed gaat komen.

I got into mini painting and got a bit too ambitious and picked this up — never used it. I got a Nespresso and a milk frother but its not a wand frother and makes the peaks too stiff. But if you just heat the milk in it and then use this to stir it its a perfect consistency for flat whites.
