Review: Super Android 13 and Bojack Unbound - With another season of Dragon Ball Z comes the next set of movies. As per usual, these movies have next to nothing to do with the main plot of the television series, but they do provide some extra DBZ action for the die-hards to sink their teeth into. This helping of DBZ movies contains another 2 movies. Movie 7 - 'Super Android 13' Doctor Gero, the creator of the androids has been defeated, but unbeknownst to the Z fighters, he has kept a secret lab in which Android 13 is being created by a computer. Naturally this new menace is released and starts tearing up the city. So as usual, the Z-fighters step in to kick some butt and save the planet...again. Movie 9 - 'Bojack Unbound' In a new world martial arts tournament, all the greatest fighters from across the universe are gathered to do battle. However, the tournament is hijacked by a group of criminal aliens and their leader Bojack who want to take over the world for their own evil deeds...and again the Z-fighters show up to save the day. Of course, the movies are predictable, but they were never meant to blow us away. They are just an extra piece of DBZ action for fans looking to satisfy their fix. The reason that they missed out movie 8 from this set is because it is the first of the three Broly films which have been released as a triple feature in the next steelbook set. So rejoice Broly fans, the next movie pack should be brill. Like previous DBZ movies, Android 13 and Bojack are low on story and high on action, making them very easy to watch, but also very forgettable at the same time. The same remastering of the series is applied to these movies giving them a new clean and polished look. There is also the usual choices of audio which give the viewers the opportunity to experience DBZ in many different ways. These are: 1.Japanese with english subs 2.English with Japanese soundtrack 3.American TV broadcast version As with the previous DBZ movies, these 2 are mostly recommended to hardcore fans of the series or completionists of the entire DBZ collection. They are definetly no where near as good as the amazing TV series, but they are a good to watch for fans looking for some more DBZ action. Review: Can't complain at all as the blu-ray was in perfect condition and the ETA was spot on.

Having been in the theaters, the movies are naturally wide screen and so these aren't pan and scanned. FUNimation has always seemed to have the most difficult time treating DBZ with the respect it deserves, getting worse and worse with every incarnation it's produced. The movies aside from having TERRIBLE covers for some of them (Why is Vegeta the central character on the box when Movie # 7 focuses on the TRIO of Super Siayans, and Movie # 9 focuses on SON GOHAN taking a page from his father's book by competing in the First under the heavens martial arts tournament?!) but the quality itself is good for visuals. I don't bother listening to FUNimation's Dragon Ball dubbed material because it's absolutely trash. The actors have no range, and make their characters sound entirely one-dimensional with Goku being the stereotypical nerd voice who thinks everyone is his friend and all his jokes are hilarious, and Vegeta and Piccolo sharing the same actor who does the same SEE HOW I GROWL voice for both. This is not a problem though, just switch to the Japanese audio and enjoy these high quality movies!

I got this one for cheap mainly because these aren't the most popular of the DBZ movies. The Super Android 13 movie was exciting but predictable at the same time. They went super saiyan and easily dispatched their foes. The battle with super 13 ended with a classic spirit bomb. Considering not one of them could handle super 13. The Bojack movie wasn't the best but I enjoyed it. Teen Gohan is a major favorite in DBZ. A movie with him going Super Saiyan 2 is a beautiful thing. When it happens it puts a smile on your face because you know no one is gonna survive this one. I'd suggest buying this one. It's worth the money
