They also work great in environments where you might be exposed to florescent ...
It wasn't until I discovered Solar Shields that I could finally wear sunglasses over my regular prescription glasses. My life before Solar Shields was full of summertime headaches and eyestrain. They also work great in environments where you might be exposed to florescent lighting for long periods. The only drawback is that you kind of look like you are 96 years old while wearing them, which is actually a bonus in traffic situations when people show extra courtesy at intersections. But not when the Devil is out driving around. I see there is a more stylish frame style for the youthful wearer of eyeglasses. I might try those next. For keeping any light out of your eyes, Solar Shields rock. For little scratches and scrapes on the lenses over a period of time, be prepared to buy a pair every year or two. Keep them in a pouch if you can. Don't be like me.OH...AND JUST A LITTLE HEADS-UP: If you order these with FREE SHIPPING, you'll be waiting a long time, because this seller puts those orders on the backburner and does NOT care how long it takes to send them. Don't bother arguing...he's not very accommodating.Go ahead and pay the absurd full-cost shipping fee and he will mail them promptly. He taught me NOT to order from him ever again.

Should fit over many sizes of glasses.....
I wanted something to wear over my glasses as i haven't bought prescription sunglasses yet and cannot find my clip on for the glasses i wear. These were what i needed. They are large enough to fit over most glasses and are comfortable. Should do very well for those that need a lot of protection from the the sun. I will say they feel unsubstantial, so i'll see how they hold up, but for now they've been doing fine, for the price I may buy them again.

A necessity if you live in the Southwest...
After my mother had cataract surgery, the doctor charged her $30 for what seems to be the same product as this item.I gave up on prescription sunglasses and was thrilled to locate these online at such a reasonable price!I lost my extra pair and am about to buy a few more since the protection they provide is mandatory here inSouthern New Mexico.I have not had a problem with breakage, but since I neglect to put them in the case, they are a bit "cloudy" nowfrom fine scratches, although I have not severely scratched them even though I usually toss them onto the carseat or stuff them into my pocket or pocketbook unprotected. They are still usable.I do take the precaution of not leaving them in the sun when I leave them in the car. I tuck them into the spaceon the side of the car door or on the dashboard if I put up the sunshade. I think they hold up fine if they arenot subjected to boiling heat in the car.

Excellent protection worth the goofy look
I absolutely love these. I don't worry about the sun bothering me at all, and they fit easily over my glasses. They DO look ridiculous though, but if you can get over that, they do a really good job. Had a pair of these previously that I picked up at a thrift store but they got scratched up because I dropped them too much. I'm being more careful with this pair and using the included soft bag. The glasses said had a sticker saying they provide UVA/UVB protection.

Solar Shield Smoke Sunglasses
Great for those who wear prescription glasses already. Inexpensive, fit easily over your glasses and really provide protection from the sun.I also tried the orange colored lenses, which did make everything look extra sharp but they messed with the landscape colors too much, especially the sky blue and the green of traffic lights, for me to get used to. Do not recommend getting those. One caveat when wearing these sunglasses while driving, they kind of give you a peripheral "blind spot" so be extra careful when pulling out into or changing lanes

Saves my eyes.
I use these when I mow. Keeps flying grass clippings out of my eyes and keeps the glare down.

Buy them by the dozen
Inexpensive so I buy several at a time. If I leave them somewhere, who cares? Only complaint is that they do scratch up easily if I forget to put them back in the case. Still they last about a year and are a bargain compared to buying prescription sunglasses. These fit easily over my regular glasses. I I keep a pair in each car and one in the house so that I always have a pair handy.

Following cataract surgery, the amazingy bright sunlight here in Florida was a challenge. These glasses fit the bill, especially by reducing light from the sides. Only drawback is the fairly brittle nature of the plastic; makes them feel a bit fragile, but you can't beat the price!
