Great feeder. I use it for my 2 cats and the feeder runs for about 2 weeks. They eat 2 times a day. It took me 2 minutes to get all setup with the wifi. It runs quietly and was reasonably priced.

This thing is amazing. I’ve only used it on the porch but it stays really dry and fresh. The lid fits very snugly so there’s no shenanigans by our feral friends, or the friends of our feral friends. It’s fun watching them on the camera take turns. I like that I can see if we have more than our regular one or two and can dispense food if needed. This one only takes double A batteries so I don’t know how long they will last without electric but I’ll find out because I need these rascals off my porch. I can’t stress enough how fantastic and air tight it is. No moisture inside whatsoever. I love that I can adjust portion size through the app from wherever I am, and I know is it’s ridiculous but I love that the measurements are in “num-nums.” I’ve been using it outdoors for nearly 8 months. It was very affordable, especially for the features (hello night vision and ability to talk to your friends from far away?). I never write reviews and I feel bad about that but I can’t say enough about this feeder. I bought two others that were terrible. One was twice the cost and went right back to Amazon. The other one that was relatively functional didn’t last at all and took in moisture so all the food molded. The biggest down size to this one is it’s difficult to clean the dispenser part and you can’t take it apart with emptying it first. I’m about to test out “battery only” so I hope it doesn’t disappoint. I don’t expect it to because I’ve brought it inside before and forgotten to take out the batteries and it kept dispensing food, all over the floor! User error…. It looks like they’ve made some changes to the model, I hope they measure up. Oh and it holds a ton of food.

We’ve been using the Frienhund 2-Cat Automatic Feeder with Slow Feed for a little while now, and so far, we love it! The dual 7L compartments are perfect for our two cats, and the slow-feed function works really well to keep them from gobbling their food too quickly. The only downside is that setup requires downloading an app and connecting the feeder to Wi-Fi. It would be so much more convenient if the feeder could be programmed directly without needing a phone. Overall, it’s a great feeder that our cats really enjoy, just wish the setup was a bit more straightforward.

This is a great feeder. Very user friendly. The app is very functional and simple to navigate. Only returning because my cats won't eat from it. They aren't scared of the dispenser noise, just finiky lil buggers 😆

Works great! Learned the hard way about why they send you the hardware to attach it to the wall. 😂 Cats started knocking it over, before the lesson was learned. Works awesome! Takes one less chore off my list!

I had to buy this for my cats after 4 years with our other autofeeder by this same brand but without all of the bells and whistles. The app was easy to set up to set their feeding times, the portions are large enough that my girls only need one portion per feeding, it is sturdy enough for my cats to not knock it over when they are hungry, and the time of feeding is perfect even with daylight savings as it auto updates the time through the wifi connection. It is nice to ensure my cats are eating through the camera as I do get a notification when the food releases and I can ensure both girls are getting the food they need.

This feeder works great - we have it on our covered porch tucked in the corner and totally protected from wind and rain. We use it to supplement our outdoor working cats. The camera is clear even with the night vision and it connects with the Smart Life app on our phones via a bluetooth/alexa set up. I'm not a tech guru but we did get it to work remotely and that is fantastic. I can feed and see the cats no matter where we are. It is also another security source as it will trigger a picture whenever there is movement...we've caught a few sneaky opossums and raccoons...but most importantly we were able to track when the cats naturally came for food and then set their auto schedule accordingly. Now- for the customer service: I HIGHLY recommend this Frienhund brand and seller. Even though the product listing says you can use it outside I do not think it is weatherproof. We did technically put it outside even though it is still completely protected from the elements. Well, we had some very cold below freezing days and too many of them in a row caused the machine to work only sporadically. It would show feeding success but no kibbles (friskies dry cat food) dispensed. Otherwise, it worked perfectly, and is a great value for all the features you get. So, I was past the 30day amazon return deadline. I emailed Frienhund customer service and Shelly responded in 24hrs and offered solutions to my satisfaction. It was quick and painless. I am very impressed. And my cats are happy being fed again. Thank you Frienhund!

I’ve been using this feeder for about 4 months now and it’s honestly made my life so much easier. As their sole caregiver, my life doesn’t need to revolve around their feeding schedule anymore. I can be out for the day and not worry about hurrying back home to feed them or them waiting on me for a feed. My kitties suffer from stomach acid build up if their tummies are empty for too long so I’m able to schedule a late + early feed without having to get out of bed to feed them - this has been a huge help! It’s a great size, it stores enough food where I’m only having to refill every few weeks. The design of the feeder is great too, having the bowls coming from opposite ends keeps them separating while feeding, compared to other feeders that have them right next to each other where it’s easier to steal kibble off each other! Setting it up just took a few minutes, it was a bit finicky with my wifi at first but resolved pretty quickly and was up and running in no time. The app is very straightforward to use. The food is measured in “portions” so this will vary depending on your food type. If you are managing your pet’s diet, I would recommend running the feeder a few times to get a sense of how much comes out during each feed. For my cat’s kibble, it disposes anywhere from 8-12g (+-5 pieces) per feed so I average it out to 10g and have adjusted accordingly. You can set the number of “portions” that dispose for each feed, making it 10g, 20g, 30g, etc. There is also a “slow feed” mode that pauses in-between dispensing, which is great if you tend to have a pet that eats too fast! The beep it makes when the feeder goes off is pretty quick and not too loud. My cats go running to it every single time (I live in a 1b apartment so you can hear it from anywhere). Overall, it’s made my life so much easier, and would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a bit of extra help in their pets routine!
