Charge into Reading Decodable Books (Stage 1.5): 5 CVC Decodable Readers to Help Kindergarten and First Grade Beginning Readers Learn to Read

This is just the decodable set I have been looking for! I have the Charge Into Reading original CVC set, but as a K-2 Reading Interventionist and Instructional Coach, I just can't get enough CVC decodable books. I love the clear clutter free illustrations. My students often look to the illustrations to support their comprehension and these pictures definitely help them confirm their decoding. In addition, the author Brooke Vitale includes tons of additional activities to extend your student's learning. After purchasing the books, you will also receive a ZipFile containing full sheet sized versions of the Science of Reading based activities in the back of the book and a 45 page Decodable Resource "Companion" Pack! These are perfect for printing to help reinforce skills, or to help to introduce new concepts to students prior to reading. How amazing is that?! I can't say enough about the new CVC decodables and am thrilled to add them to my Charge Into Reading decodable collection!

I have all of the Charge Mommy decodable books at this point and these did not disappoint! They are truly decodable but the story still makes sense which is rare. The illustrations are great. My students love the activities at the back of the book. I use UFLI paired with these books and my students are making tremendous progress this year.

My 5-year-old is just starting to read, and this book set has been perfect! It builds his confidence and keeps him motivated to try reading on his own. He especially loves the fun games at the end of each book. They’re a great bonus!

These decodable books are exactly what I was looking for. My kindergarten students are ready for mixed vowel CVC words to challenge them, but in a controlled text. These books offer the same great story, pictures, and decodability as the other decodable books from Charge Mommy Books. They even have a plot, which you don't often get in decodable texts! In fact, my 3.5 year old begged to read these with me as soon as I opened them. He sat through all the books and wanted to keep reading them!

Perfect for my First Grader! She really enjoys these readers. I can't wait to use these books with my 4 year old in the future.
