A good quality backup battery compartment dummy with USB connection EOS R and R6
Good quality, functioning EOS R and R6 battery insert for backup. I am using this as a backup in case my LP-E6N batteries go dead to quickly on me. I will say the EOS R cameras use battery less efficiently than my old EOS 7D so you might want to have something like this in your camera bag. I keep a couple USB battery backups for my cell phones and these are high-capacity, fast charging, and I was able to hook this up this Batmax dummy and power my camera, no issues! Pretty cool tool and great backup. For the money, it's a no-brainer.

Works but only with a not-included adapter and extension cord.
This fit into my Canon R6 Mk ii easily. The attached cable is too short and terminates in a USB-C plug that only works when used with a wall adapter. It would not power up using a USB-C socket on my PC so why not include an adapter? I was able to test it with my charger plug from my iPhone. I've had dummy batteries like this with other Canon cameras and they included enough cable and attachments to plug in to a wall socket. To make this work, you have to get an USB-C adapter and an USB-C extension.

Powers a 5Dsr and a R6m2 just fine. A little flimsy, but not bad.
Physically it feels a little thin and flimsy on the dummy battery, but the cord feels fine. Once it's in the camera you really don't notice it. It works fine and powers both a 5DSr and R6m2 without issues. While testing the device on random power outputs, I found you have to turn the camera off via the switch and replug in the usb-C sometimes or the camera won't turn on.I was able to run a camera off a Vmount battery for hours doing video, and even longer doing stills.

Working great!
This dummy battery is working great so far. I really like that I can set my camera up for extended shutter shots and not worry about the battery depleting. I am using this with a hefty power bank and I am able to shoot the sky at night for much longer than I could with the single camera battery. Very happy with this and the price is really great for what it provides.

Avoids dealing with batteries running down when you've got external power. 8.11V output.
I got this for my Canon camera so I wouldn't have to keep a charged battery all the time and have no limit on how long I could run it. I like the concept, but realized I got the wrong one (I needed LP-E8, which is not the same shape). This adapter seems sturdy. Cord feels solid and coily section is useful to avoid sudden tension if it's bumped. It powers fine from a USB PD power bank I have, drawing 9V. I measured 8.11V at 1.35A load on the battery terminals (actual battery drops lower so not a problem). This is a decent value to avoid a battery where convenient.
