These do in fact make a great gift as far as a gift idea b/c this is just such a cool item to have in the kitchen and something that one may not buy for themselves but would love to get. its just a good "gadget" and truly serves a purpose. also, its nice that these are battery operated as opposed to the ones that need a charging station b/c this way its less clutter in the kitchen and does not have to be near an outlet. also these come w/a funnel to put the S and P and that is awesome b/c many others do not and u end up spilling stuff all the time. ok... so here is my issue: I ordered these and they come as a set (also nice b/c many come separate) and the salt one simply did not work. batteries were new so it was not that. it was just defective. I had already put salt in it so am sure no one can use it even if fixed b/c no one wants something used on any level in another person's kitchen. requested replacement and was told only could get both at once, not just the salt b/c they come as a set. ok so I thought that was odd b/c I have to return something that is clearly broken so seemed like a waste of resources to waste shipping on something broken as well as send back a used item that is functional but I had to send both back b/c the come as set and since I got new ones, kept both new and sent back both old since I kept the same sets together. the new ones work but only part of the time. so it was a not a fluke that one arrived damaged or not working before. I guess the design is just not that great b/c I have had these types of products before and know how to use them and when the button is pushed it does not always work and when it does the light does NOT always work. I am not sending back again b/c they won't send a label to print but a barcode that gets emailed and then scanned at the UPS store. which means I have to wait in line vs just drop label and package off and the place near me is always so packed that I am truly not going thru the process to return again... I am going to use until they completely stop working and then look for different ones.

This salt and pepper grinders have two features I like very much, the bottom caps are my favorite because I was tired of the mess my other ones were doing in the covers, on the counter or the dining table, the lights are so helpful and an unique feature as one can see well the quantity dispensed, they are a little bit taller than the other ones I have had before however so far they work good, aren't too noisy and look stylish, filling them up is very easily done with the included collapsible small funnel, this is the 1st time I got one like this after having purchased so many grinders before and it's amazingly useful!!!

This is the first electric grinder I've used and so far everything is great.1. It is battery operated so you don't have to struggle grinding salt/pepper2. You can set the coarse as per your requirement and don't have to do it everytime.3. Comes with a lid to protect from the dust.4. It's a single handed operated so your second hand is always free.5. It looks cool.But comes with a caveat that it's slightly tall in size to adjust battery and motors but the container isn't as big compared to overall size. But on a regular use it'll last for weeks.

I like the stainless still look if these but each does require 6 batteries so have some handy. The coarseness setting is easier to adjust for the salt than the pepper in my opinion but so far no major issues and I love that they have a cover so you don't have to worry about cleaning up excess salt and pepper that may accidentally come out. I do wish there was more room so you could add more to each grinder.

Very nice product, fit & finish. They worked Great for about 1 year, then the pepper grinder started slipping and didn't grind. Took a look and saw that the square nylon drive part was getting stripped and will not grind the pepper anymore. I do believe the peppercorns are much harder than the salt and the nylon just can't stand up to the task.

Design is a good idea, but this set didn't satisfy me so far. I'm contacting the company if possible through a link in the comments. I see others have had the same issue with the salt grinder not working like it should. Mechanically the salt grinder stops, and the adjustable grind setting is NOT adjustable. Hoping the company backs it like they said (for 1 year from purchase). Bought mid May, 2019.

Unfortunately my return window has passed so I am stuck with this product. Initially it worked fine but once I began using the product to grind my "whole" peppercorns, it was not strong enough AT ALL. I ended up with large chunks of peppercorn in my food. I like to buy my spices in bulk and really enjoy purchasing "whole" spices. So keep that in mind when purchasing.

I liked the idea of the led light shining on your food to see the granules coming out but the led light is not effective at all. Maybe in a pitch dark room... Also with new batteries both s&p seem to bog down trying to grind. Pepper mill especially. I guess you get what you pay for... Next time I would pay more for a better product.
