I was initially put off by reviews saying the floss was too thin and broke easily, but I honestly can’t see how — this stuff feels incredibly strong. You could probably tow a car with it! Texture, taste, and ease of use are all 10/10. I’d post a demo video, but I suspect flossing content might test community standards… 🦷😀

Bought twice. The original design was not refillable and was returned. The new design IS refillable (if you can work out how to open it) but it does NOT have the panda on it.

It is made from bamboo and is strong but also biodegradable. The floss is vegan friendly and compostable which all aligns perfectly with a zero waste philosophy. I love the design of this little floss kit with its excellent eco credentials. The tiny blade is sharp, but safe, and the texture and strength of the floss work well at removing all the bits from between the narrow gaps in my teeth. I also like the black colour of the thread which means that you can see what you've removed, and what parts of the floss you've already used. You get a refill too, so the whole kit should last me ages - and it's currently available at only £7.49 (reduced from £11.99) so I would definitely recommend buying one while it's on offer. NB: For all those reviewers who have complained about the bamboo container not being refillable, there are clear pictures on the website showing you how to remove the cap with the blade to change the floss. I must admit that I did find the top hard to get off initially, but then I am elderly, and a quick twist with a jar-opening gadget did the trick! It's been absolutely fine since.

Misleading description. The picture and the description of "2 refills" might potentially imply that you get 3 "bobbins" in total, one already in the container and 2 more as refills. That's certainly how I would understand the word "refill". One is already in the bamboo container, plus you get one extra. I wouldn't count one already in the container as a "refill". But the worst thing is, the bamboo container is completely sealed, and cannot be opened, and consequently it cannot be refilled! So you have 1 refill, that you can't even use with the container! So it's not refillable as claimed. Looking at the video on this product page, it looks like there was probably a earlier incarnations of this product which used a plastic or metal tube with a screw top on it. But this bamboo tube is absolutely impregnable! It's a pity because this is actually a quite decent floss.

I am a big proponent of flossing and am always on the look out for something that is less plastic heavy. The bamboo container for the floss looks really attractive and is a really nice size. The small cutting blade on the top works well to cut the floss to your desired length and also works as a pry bar to remove the lid to change the floss. The floss itself is a dream to use. The fibre is smooth and I found that it is not prone to snagging or fraying - I have a sharp section of tooth that frays most flosses but this one seems to be resistant to that. The black colour is apparently from activated charcoal, I just think it looks fun and it is certainly easier to find when I inevitably miss the bin after flossing my teeth. The taste is a lovely soft peppermint. Nothing overpowering just a lovely fresh flavour. I am definitely going to be purchasing some refills for my holder and may even purchase a second holder to throw in my work bag. At the time of review this kit comprising 2 spools of floss and the bamboo holder is on sale for £7.49 which provides excellent value for money.
