Although most red dots come with 2 or 3 sets of screws to fit the most common sizes needed, having this set on hand is a great comfort in case of an unanticipated size combo or in case a screw gets lost. And there's plenty of options with the 17 different sets of screws in an assortment of sizes and lengths (12 standard and 5 metric). Normally I prefer to have screw or other hardware sets in multi-compartment parts boxes. But the way these are organized, with each set of 4 screws in a small plastic bag with a very detailed size label, works better for these when thinking about how I am likely to use them. Most likely I will either use 1 screw from a set to replace a lost one, or use a full set of any one size if a red dot doesn't include the needed size. Either way, having the label with the full size and length specs makes replacing the used screws much easier.

A good screw kit to have handy when you work with the reflex dot sights of various footprints and different guns. It consists of 17 sets of 4 screws each, of various sizes. I have quite a few red/green dot sights of unknown quality which I do test to select a really good one you can rely. Occasionally, one of the screws which came with the dot sight "strips naked" so it's good to have a supply of the replacement screws. Of course, the final test for a sight and the screws is at the range after you put at least 2 or 3 boxes of ammo to see how the sight keeps the zero. It's not a big secret that many inexpensive sights do not.

I haven’t put any of the screws through high-torque or stress testing yet, but based on how the coating looks and how the screws feel, I’m optimistic that they’ll hold well in typical optic mounting scenarios.If you're setting up or maintaining several optics, this kit seems like a smart backup to have on hand.

I have an Impact Machine plate on my Shadow 2 and while doing a deep clean, I lost the necessary screws. This ohnut kit of screws came in handy - I wasn't 100% sure what screws I would need for my plate (turned out the 6-32x0.315" (8mm) were perfect. These seem like well-made screws, and they all had a consistent amount of blue threadlocker on them. The screw heads were concentric, and fit my T-10 bit on my torque driver perfectly. Threads were smooth and easy to turn.So far, I'm very pleased with these screws, and now I have a myriad of extras for different optics.

Red dot sights are great but also super annoying because of the variety of screw options. Thankfully there are tons of screws available in this kit. They're still pricey considering the amount of metal etc. But the proper head angle for the screw heads and the variety of threading makes them essential for getting the right fit with the wide array of plates and optics and mounting configurations out there.All in all, quite pleased with the scope of what's included and the value.
