Quirky Wrapster for Headphone (Purple)

I've used several cord wraps for my iPhone headset, and believe this is the best one yet.Pros+ Cord won't tangle+ Cord won't kink (as long as you wrap it gently)+ Cord won't retain some weird twisty shape+ Easy to unroll+ Easy to rollCons- Looks silly hanging around your neck- Heavy hanging around your neck (note to Quirky: make it with a honeycomb design to keep rigidity but reduce weight)Overall, a winner.Quirky, if you can make it slightly better using a honeycomb design, that would be awesome.UPDATEAfter a few weeks of using it, a couple of issues emerged:1. The cords, and the cord wrapper, got dirty. Not sure exactly why, but gunk just kind of appeared. Not a big deal, but not nice2. Overall, it was a pain to keep wrapping and unwrapping the cord, as you have to be somewhat precise.So, I just went back to looping it and pocketing it. Not elegant, some twists and knots, but usually not a problem.

First, I'd like to make it known that Amazon is selling this for way less than others. Second let me say that I run with my iphone in hand (i can't find an arm strap that doesn't slip off. I have been so frustrated with my cord and my headphones falling out because I feel like I'm wasting time slowing down when I need to replace the headphones back in my ear...annoying! So I read review and I decided to go for this one. I like the idea of it (it keeps the cord from tangling up in my gym bag, too and I love that! The only issue i see with this is that the two helpful little round sides is great except that it puts the cord keeper too close to your neck and the long part is the part below the split wires. I may be using it wrong though. It was less annoying than without...so i'll certainly grant it 4 stars expecially for the cost....I'd go 4.5 but I don't think that I can do that.

Love this contraption. It's simple but works. Having broken a few pairs of earbuds since I threw them into my gym bag or purse, this has helped me keep a pair of earbuds in tact.It's smaller than I thought it was going to be, but works perfectly with standard apple ipod earphones and another pair that I purchased. No more detangling every time I get to gym! It's unwrap and go.I've found it works best if I take a moment and slip the ear pieces into the top slots, then wrap the cord around the middle, tucking the plug into the wrapped cord. It's easy to unwrap in seconds - but I don't suggest waiting until you're in the car to try and unwrap it. It's a two hand job.I toss the wrapped wrapster into my purse and it's easy to find by feel (goes into bottom of my bag if I miss the pocket). Very happy with purchase.

I was hopeful about this product after trying so many other options to keep my iPhone cords from tangling. When I saw this I wasn't sure how I would take to having something attached to my cords when using them. I ordered this anyway cause I'd tried everything else. It's the best thing I've tried so far but its not perfect. The cords don't stay inside the channels. They keep struggling to get out which is annoying but I don't think there's a way to avoid it cause the cords do need to be able to be pulled out if you want to use the item as a phone stand. When I want to wrap the cords up it is relatively easy, when the cords stay in the channels. Just pull the buds down and then wrap the cord around the middle and tuck in the plug! Now I gotta find a way to keep the iPhone earbuds to stay in my ears!

I bought this product (Quirky Wrapster) and the Sumajin Smartwraps Earphone Cord Manager at the same time to do a comparison.  Sumajin Smartwraps Earphone Cord Manager  When the cord is wrapped up, the Quirky Wrapster creates a much more comfortable shape in my pocket than does the Sumajin Smartwraps. It is also faster to wrap and unwrap the Quirky. Finally, the Quirky has this nice feature that you can use it as a stand for your device. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 which is a little thinner than an iPhone, but it still works. One hint, in the picture it shows the Quirky with one your phone protruding from each side. I find it works better to put both your phones on one side, wrap the cord, and then put the end of the cord that goes into the iPod (or whatever) into the other side of the Quirky.

I purchased this originally for my earbuds that came with the iPhone 4...worked well to keep the cord organized in my pocket so I didn't have to deal with a tangle of cords every time I pulled out my earbuds. However, with the new earbuds that are with the iPhone 5, the cord doesn't line up as well anymore. Basically, as you start to wrap the cord around the wrapster, the portion that controls the volume/next/pause that is in the line, it hits right at the bend of the wrapster, no matter how you wrap it. So what you have to do is just before the remote portion of the line is about to hit the bend of the wrapster, you have to reverse direction, hold down the cord and then continue wrapping it around so that it holds teh cord down in place...not ideal, but works ok.

i ordered one black wrapster and liked it so much that I ordered another for my spare headset. The second one was white and not as sturdy! The rubber squooshes when wrapping the headset with any kind of tension. Kind of upsetting. The rubber just isn't as strong. It does the job I guess.In general the combo cord wrap and stand is a neat idea! I just wish that in "stand" mode it would angle the iPhone 4 slightly upwards so that it's not perpendicular to the table it's sitting on. Keeps my headphones and cables organized

Bought this Quirky wrapster in a Daily Flash Deal at a great offer. Its QUIRKY as the name suggest. I loved :-1. The color purple2. the quality of the product which is awesome3. It's exactly as advertised - quirky and a wrapster!! Does the job very well. Nifty and handy, easy to use and easy to find in cavernous handbag. Keeps the headphones in shape as well.
