Austrian Black Pine | Small Tree Seedling | The Jonsteen Company

My tree was shipped and delivered quickly. As others have said, it's a tiny tree (3-4 inches) and is expensive for what you get.That being said, it's a very healthy tree, and will grow well.

Quickly began to sprout growth.

My pinus nigra arrived healthy and sooner than expected. I love ordering from this nursery as their seedlings are always healthy and never seem to have a lot of circling/girdling roots that need pruning, etc. Highly recommended nursery.

Note this is only 1-2” tall. Not worth the outrageous price.

They arrived healthy and are doing well they lost a few needles but they have new growth after two weeks.

These may be a little more expensive than other live stock on Amazon for their size, but I always know that I'm going to get a quality, healthy little tree with a robust root system when I order from these folks! No ugly grafts because (I presume) these are grown from seed. Thanks again Jonsteens!

The cutting was great and arrived early, but the cutting was COVERED in bugs. It was a good thing that I inspected the cutting before moving it into the grow room because I definitely cannot afford to bring pests into my operation. I know that bugs are a natural part of this world, but it would probably make sense for the seller to check the cuttings before sending them out, or just spraying them with an organic oil mix to prevent the bugs from taking over. I was a little disappointed with this but hopefully everything will work out.
