FUNNY
I have a 8 year old son who has Dyslexia and he enjoys me reading to him Hank's adventures. He finds the books so funny and he could relate to Hank. It brings me great joy that he really enjoys the books that he evens try to read them by himself. Especially because reading is not his favorite thing to do. I highly recommend this books.

Great Series!
I am so impressed with this series. My 9 year old likes to read but never embraced chapter books. I think they seemed intimidating to her. Perhaps because there were more words than pictures. I saw “The Fonz” in an interview talking about his book series and wanted to try one for my daughter. When I asked her a couple days later if she’d looked at it, she said she’d finished it! She really enjoyed it so I got her next two in series which she is finishing now. Whatever magic he has used to write this series, it works for her. She doesn’t have dyslexia but does have ADHD. Not sure if that matters regarding her reading but thought I’d mention it. So this series or writing style really works for us. Our daughter loves Hank Zipper.

Super books.
My grandson has had difficulty reading so I bought 2 of the Hank books for him. He really enjoys this book and is reading so much better. Thank you Henry Winkler. These books are making a hugh difference in my grandson's self confidence and his ability to read. Because he is reading better, all of his school subjects are improving. I will continue to buy these books for him.

Good Companion Book to tthe Original Heres Hank
My grandson is a reluctant reader and school recommended a scheduled reading time over the summer. His teacher mentioned the 'Here's Hank' series. He has read the first wanted to start the second. He enjoys the story and his reading fluency has improved. .

Great for dyslexic children
I gave this book to my grandson who is dyslexic. He has struggled with reading for years, and this affected his self esteem. This series of books has as its main character a young boy who also is dyslexic but manages small triumphs in other areas. The series is written in a special font called “dyslexia” that is easier for dyslexic children to read. My grandson was hooked on the idea of Hank wanting a dog and trying to earn one by improving in school. This whole series is wonderful!

My 1st grade son loves this book!
My first grader really enjoyed this book!! It contains a lot of words he doesn't yet know and he is an above average reader (although he doesn't love to read). I read a few lines out loud to him and then he reads the same lines back to me (which I just learned in a summer reading class I took with him this past, is very beneficial when the words are at least of moderate difficulty). This has worked well and I'm happy to say that he was so excited to move on to the next chapter that he would get the book off the shelf on his own, without prompts from me! This was our first real "chapter" book and this author made it an enjoyable and smooth transition!!
