Best Casein product in the market, by way of Quality, purity and benefits and overall price!
The best Casein Protein according to me. Period. I have tried all sorts of Casein Proteins from GNC, and Online (Vitacost, Amazon, Bodybuilding.com, Biotrust etc), over several years. Almost all of them have chemicals and fillers (except perhaps Biotrust and Optimum Natural) and I will get more negative side effects than benefits. BioTrust proteins is a mix of why and casein blend, and they are very costly, and they do have larger amounts of Stevia, Inulin, sugar alcohol etc..Though reasonably healthy, BioTrust cost and the "fillers" put it out of reach for most. I also did not have any positive results from this brand. Optimum Natural Casein was my first choice till recently. Reasonably pure (at least no synthetic chemicals and junk), and decent price per pound, and average benefits. But I recently started on Naked Casein, and I am wondering why I did not try this before! It is the purest, most healthy Casein possible! Huge 5 pound tub, and with 1 serving a day, will last you 75+ days! Even with 2 servings, for the heavier users, it will last you more than a month, and it is very decent price/pound. The quality is amazing! I had great results within a week of using it. No gas, no bloating, no issues! I have used it in the night before sleeping, and have also had it during the day. And I felt energetic and wonderful. My sleep is good, no disturbance, no stomach issues. My recovery seems better. I seem to have gained positive results in the muscle department also, in just this 7-10 day period! (that is the quickest jump in results I have ever had in many years of working out). I am using Naked Whey and Naked Casein together now.. as my only protein supplements. Threw out everything else! Like many have said, it does not mix that easily by just stirring. But I am ok with the lumps! How does it matter? :) Why take more time with blender/mixer/shaker etc? :) Also, like some reviewers have said, it tastes just like diluted milk/milk powder. I do not need to add anything else, and can just have this powder with Water. However, I have added a dash of "Amazing Grace Green Superfood" powder at times, and not only does not help with better mixing, the shake tastes even better, and it is even more healthier! (You can even add a dash of Unflavored vegan protein powder like PlantFusion. No added sugar or extra calories, and better taste and a healther shake! I have also tried it with diluted Yogurt or Buttermilk, and this powder tastes great with all of them! Because my feedback and experience with Naked Whey and Naked Casein have been similar, and beyond my expectations, I wrote a detailed review for both products, and any of you looking at my reviews of Naked Whey, might notice an overlap of some of the info :) But both the "Naked" products are outstanding to say the least. I recommend that you do try it at least once.

No Taste
This stuff is nearly tasteless. I use a Blendtec blender that pretty much perfectly blends anything, so I'm not sure how well it will work with other blenders. Apparently it's hydrophobic and hard to dissolve, but in my case it fully mixes with water in my blender. It's really expensive compared to most protein sources, but it's pure protein without any fat or carbs. I drink it alone 3 hours before bed to avoid spiking my insulin by taking in carbs that would be in Whey Protein.

Delicious
This is great protein powder, I love that it doesn’t use stevia (or sucralose or monk fruit) because stevia not only tastes gross but it’s been shown to cause reproductive harm. I add a little extra sugar to my shakes lol but it’s a great quality protein and I highly recommend it. P.S casein is chalky, that’s not the fault of the company, that’s just how it is.

good results, difficult mixing and drinking
The results I had researched happen when I drink this before bedtime. I sleep much deeper, awaken less frequently. It seems my body is more at peace during the night. My taste buds are not as sharp, it it rather bland. I added 1 tspn of carob and 2 drops of Stevia, this really improved the taste!! I know this also helps the body recognize it as a healthy addition. For me, it has mixing challenges, I use a milk frother. This seems to mix it well, yet makes it almost too thick and frothy to drink. Today, I mixed it up, put it in the fridge keep it cold. Hoping by bedtime it is a better texture.

Doesn’t mix, no flavor, causes bloating
I’ve been working out and taking different protein supplements consistently for about 15 years. I decided to try this brand as a cleaner alternative to the casein I had been taking previously, and there were a lot of reviews on this product saying it tasted great and mixed well enough. I’m pretty sure those are either bots or people who work for this company that wrote them because this has to be the worst tasting protein I have ever had. Mix-ability was horrible. No matter how long I shook it up in my shaker bottles it would always end up chalky feeling. I usually take casein before bed, and the previous brand I was using was great because it would help me fall asleep faster. This does the opposite. After I’ve choked down the bottle of it, I lay in bed bloated for about 30 minutes or so before it finally starts to die down so I can sleep. I bought the chocolate flavor, which is a joke because it doesn’t taste anything like chocolate. Eventually I started mixing my Whey protein with this to help make it drinkable. Honestly pretty annoyed that it only comes in a 5lb container. I would have liked to tried a 1lb bag first to see if it was worth the ~$100 I paid for this. I guess I’ll be forcing this down for the next month and a half or so. I get what the company is trying to do by keeping the ingredient count low, and I do appreciate that, but I would suggest a warning that this is going to be VERY different than any thing you’ve probably used in the past. Don’t let the bot reviews fool you!

What’s important to you?
If there is some other reason to consume this supplement outside of some type of training regimen I am unaware of it. So I will write my review with that in mind. Arnold, who most consider the GOAT in the world of bodybuilding, answered when asked about people who have trouble sticking to diets with another question: “It’s really simple. What’s important to you?” I have read the one star reviews of this product and I find them comical. Does this product mix as easily as Whey? No. Does this product taste as good as Whey? Nope. With the best blender the shake is sometimes a bit clumpy, sometimes a bit frothy, and it’s always chalky tasting. But Whey and Casein both have important and different roles to play in your weightlifting supplementation. I’m not going to get into what you can find hundreds if not thousands of articles telling you about how they are both to be used, but just that they both have a place. So then it gets back to the point Arnold was making. If eating over-processed fast food and junk food all day because it “tastes good” like the majority of people is what’s really important to you, then do that. If your goal is to get bulky or shredded and gain muscle mass it involves making time to train, and a sacrifice on your part to view food and supplements as fuel to achieve a goal. If you’re too much of a baby to be able to get down Casein, then you aren’t going to make it.

Good protein but not good consistency
I bought this item with the idea of mixing it with Amazing Grass Superfood products to add some flavor and extra nutrition. I was also looking to get away from the ON flavors and their sweeteners, though ON is not bad at all and uses few ingredients. Naked Casein costs something like 30% more per serving, but I decided to try it anyway. Others have likened it to powdered skim milk. I can agree with that. There is just a mild powdery taste. The downside is that the servings are two scoops of powder. If you're like me and you like to use two servings to get around 45-50g of protein in a shake, that is 4 scoops of powder. I'm not trying to say they rip you off or anything, as the serving count is properly labeled, but rather that this huge amount of powder makes for a very thick, powdery shake that is unpleasant to drink. To compound this issue, the powder is super fine and makes the water very frothy and airy. I use a large blender bottle with like 25 oz of water. I think I would need like 30+ oz. of water or more to make this palatable enough to be OK with me. That can be a bit much, as people usually take their casein shakes before bed and don't wanna have to down a huge shake right before sleeping. Aside from that, I can't comment on the gains I've gotten from this product, as I'm not a cyborg with measurable biomass particles attributable to a specific source, but I think it's fine. I haven't noticed a change since I moved over from ON casein. The amino acid profile is very similar to ON, which I think is a good brand. I think I will go back to ON when this tub is done. It's a good idea, the whole "naked" thing, but it's just too much powder for me. I love that there are companies that are pioneering (or throwback-ing) to all natural foods, but it's not quite enough yet to win me over for good. If they can work on the consistency and amount of the powder, it would be awesome... no to mention the added cost compared to their biggest competitor. At this time though, I think the ON shakes are just so much smoother and their flavors are not all that bad.
