Excellent product. So close to being invisible, we have to double check to see that it's really there.
We have a 1950s era home with original casement windows that we restored rather than installing vinyl replacements. I had previously used window screen purchased from the local big box store for other projects and did not find the results pleasing, as the two choices (grey or black) of screen available were both ugly and quite visible, even from the street. After a search for "invisible screen", I found several companies that claimed their product was truly invisible. I had my doubts about Phifer's screen, but after comparing the various types they make on the company website, I chose UltraVue. When the roll of screen arrived, I opened it and still doubted that it would be any different than the less expensive screen sold locally. It was black in color and looked like all the other rolls of screen I'd bought in the past. I went ahead and installed it in the first screen frame and popped it into our front window to see how it looked. Unbelievably, it's so close to being invisible that we have to get up close to see that it's really there. This is one of the few products that truly live up to the manufacturer's claims. I would highly recommmend with confidence this product to anyone. There's simply no reason to ever use ordinary ugly window screen again. Only time will tell how well it holds up against the elements, as we are located in an arid state with harsh summer sun and cold winter weather. [Please note that I have zero affiliation with this company and its products whatsoever and receive no compensation of any kind for reviewing this product.]

Fantastic option for DIY refresh of your windows
The Andersen windows on our house had aluminum screens which have oxidized and stained a bit over the years. They had always been a big detraction to the curb appeal of the house due to how it made the windows look dirty, not matter how much we cleaned them. It also made it look like you were looking through a cage out the windows because the screen was so noticeable.I spent a lot of time researching replacement screens and found that Andersen makes one of the more highly rated screens in terms of visibility (or rather invisibility??): TruScene. However, that product is not sold for the replacement market and is only available on new Andersens. I bit the bullet and decided to try this product and I'm happy that I did!It made my windows look LIKE NEW from the exterior and significantly improved the view from the interior. It's really difficult to quantify without having proper light testing equipment, but I can attest that it feels a bit brighter and the view outside is far greater in clarity. For anyone with old aluminum screens, I would highly recommend this DIY solution to freshen up your windows.

Stop screening for the “right” screen and buy this!
The picture shows a split screen (pun intended) with the right showing the aproximately 30yr old screen and the new screen on the left. It’s like having a brand-new window! So easy to install anyone can do it with a couple inexpensive tools and parts. Seriously... stop debating and buy this screen! You’ll screen with Joy! Couldn’t help myself...

Nearly invisible screen
The screen is nearly invisible! I used thin nylon filament to sew 3 panels together with a zig zag stitch. Then using a staple gun, completely screened off my apartment patio. No more mosquitoes! I put up a lot of wall pocket planters, pest free gardening is awesome! The local birds have been drawn, a hummingbird flew straight into the screen but wasn’t harmed at all. He bounced back and stabilized himself just fine. Sparrows and Finches have started trying to break in and can’t, so they perch on the screen and hang out. So far nothing has damaged the screen. Being able to remove the dark and thick screen door really opens up the space. I highly recommend this to apartment dwellers looking to increase their living space.

Easy to Install and Look Great!
I replaced some screens with holes and others with 20+ years of sun exposure. What a difference! We didn't realize how bad the old screens looked. Tip: If you pull too tight, then you'll warp the screen frame and may leave a gap between the window sill and screen frame. More likely to happen on large windows. I laid the screen on top. Used a spline roller to install the spline, and didn't pull on the screen. Well, I did pull on the first and learned not to on the rest.

good stuff
got it to replace some very old aluminum screens that were full of holes. The visibility is quite nice, I think the product lives up to the claims. Easy to install with the recommended screen rolling tool and .125" spline. You could probably reuse the old spline if you wanted to.

Nearly Invisible
Works exactly as advertised. Screen looks dark black on roll, but once installed it nearly disappears. Next to my unscreened window that has a light tinting, it appears virtually the same. Greatly enhanced our view.

Awesome screen
This screen may be a bit more expensive than other screens, but it is well worth the money. You can't see the screen when looking out. So often I think the window is open to the outdoors and there is no screen in place! It is THAT GOOD! Keeps the bugs out too!
