Purely magical AI recording device. This is a game changer!
I've been waiting until I've used this for a few important meetings before posting my review. I wanted to see if it was consistently as good as it was the first time I used it. And I am very happy to say that this device is AMAZING. I can't express how convenient it is to have a meeting with many topics and many very complex concepts being discussed, and to come out of it with an extremely accurate set of Meeting minutes, Next Action Steps, and even some additional input from the AI itself. The function and delivery of this item is second to none. In regards to the ease of use, I literally received this, charged the device, and was up and running with it within a couple minutes of it being fully charged. Connecting to the app on my iPhone was very easy. But also, note, VERY conveniently, it is not essential to have it connected to your phone to use it. Not only does it provide AI analysis, but it also serves as a audio recorder as well. This is very nice if you want to review the meeting audibly as well. The sound quality is excellent, and very easy to listen back. Crystal clear. It seems that the device will be able to store many long meetings on it. Extremely happy with this purchase and with the performance of the unit. I can highly recommend it.

Extremely handy for studying!
I was looking for a reliable recorder that could handle lectures, meetings, and study sessions without the hassle of constant note-taking, and this device exceeded my expectations. The real-time multilingual transcription is outstanding—it recognizes speech in multiple languages with impressive accuracy and even generates summaries, to-do lists, and mind maps automatically through the AIREC app. It feels like having a personal assistant built right into my pocket. What really impressed me was the data security. Files are encrypted locally and in the cloud, and I like knowing I have control over authorizations. Syncing with my laptop and phone is seamless via USB-C, and I can easily sort, name, and share recordings. I especially appreciate the ability to export transcriptions into formats like TXT, DOCX, and PDF—super helpful for sharing meeting notes with my team. The dual-mode noise reduction is a game-changer. In a busy conference setting, it captured clear audio without the usual background chaos, and the voice separation feature for conversations makes transcripts so much easier to follow. The fact that you can even hide the “recording in progress” status adds a layer of privacy you don’t usually get in recorders. On the hardware side, it’s slim, magnetic, and portable. I’ve clipped it discreetly to my laptop during meetings, and the 25-hour battery life with 64GB storage means I never worry about running out of space or power. It automatically saves files when the battery is low, which gives me peace of mind. The free AI membership is another plus—600 minutes of transcription per month is plenty for most users, and the upgrade options are reasonably priced if you need more. Overall, this is much more than just a recorder—it’s a productivity tool. Between the smart transcription features, strong security, and portable design, I’d recommend it to anyone who attends regular meetings, lectures, or interviews.

Awesome AI powered voice recorder!
This AI voice recorder works fantastic! First off, it is so much better than a traditional voice recorder. The AI that is included really makes transcribing it a breeze! It’s super easy to use, and it’s super functional. You can also use it as just a traditional voice recorder if you prefer. I haven’t had very good luck with voice recorders in the past, but this one has really changed the game! The sound quality is fantastic, it’s super portable, even sticking to your phone if you have a magnetic ring built-in. All in all, this is a fantastic voice recorder that has great battery life, and works really well!

Very disappointing, way over priced, hassle to use, cannot recommend
It’s nothing like I expected. Without Bluetooth connection to the app, the device is just a voice recorder which has no other functionality but recording sounds. All the “power” is in the app which requires registration and a live connection with Bluetooth AND GPS enabled. When the device is powered on it doesn’t connect automatically to your phone – you must tap the connect button on the app screen and tap a prompt to connect. You can’t even adjust important app settings without the connection. The connection will break if you switch to another app. For phone call recording, the two magnet strips inside the device are quite strong but there is not enough ferrometal in phones for the device to attach securely and it slides off very easily (tested on an iPhone and a Motorola phone). There is a flat metal ring included in the box that I suppose you’re supposed glue to your phone but there’s no adhesive and no mention of the ring in the manual. Transcription is quick if voice input is live but extremely slow for saved recordings. The transcription part of the interface is confusing. Transcription summarization by ChatGPT is easy and quick but without a decent ChatGPT prompt or template, the summaries can be worthless. Translation requires connection to a server (probably the same as the ChatGPT server). Recordings often contain a regular ticking sound that I've heard in low quality digital recorders. The instructions state that charging the device with a USB charger greater than 500 mA can damage it; a charger is not included. The included charging cable is also used to view/transfer files, so don't lose it! There is no standard USB port on this very thin device - so thin you might break it trying to detach it from a steel surface like a filing cabinet.

Works great!
I needed this as a disability accommodation. I asked my workplace for the accommodation and they told me no. So I bought this for myself to be able to do my job. It’s small, discrete, and effective. The price was low enough that I could just get it on my own without worrying about an employer refusing a necessary accommodation.

Pretty cool device
I grabbed this AI recorder because it could transcribe in real time across tons of languages, and it made organizing notes, summaries, and even to-do lists way easier. The built-in encryption and quick backups are a plus and I could manage files on my phone or computer without hassle. The dual noise reduction is nice—it picked up voices clearly in busy rooms while cutting background noise, and even separated speakers automatically. I liked how compact it was, with enough storage and battery life to handle long recordings without dying on me, and the magnet made it easy to stick onto my laptop or desk.

Not perfect, but pretty good.
There's a brand out there that sells for twice the price, and gives half the AI transcription/summarizing time (at 300 minutes per month), so I decided to go for this one and see what it's all about (full disclosure, I have not tried the other brand, so I have no idea if it's the same, better or worse). My expectations were low, because I've seen all too well the state of AI today, and I hate it. But I needed something that took notes for me in 2 different languages, because I am seriously lazy when it comes to that. Well, this thing has been great for this purpose. I don't think I'll ever use the 600 minutes monthly, but will certainly hit around 400. So far it's completely worked (except for the odd word mistakes it makes some times, nothing that I would not expect). In my experience with it (5 short conferences so far and 2 tests with it attached to the back of my phone), if what you are recording (not over the phone) is someone that speaks clearly and there is not too much noise around it, you will get a pretty accurate transcription (each of mine are between 40 and 55 minutes long), and the summary and mind map have been amazing to add to my notes app. Now, on the phone, the only way it works well is if you have the phone on speaker, it will miss too many words if you have it on earpiece (as I expected). I tried both options with my nephew, so there's that. Be mindful that the included 600 minutes per month is only for 1 year after you open your account in the AiRec app, after that you will need to fork over 70 dollars per year to maintain that. All in all, I like this little gadget, and am thinking it can be a nice gift for people that, like me, hate writing unless there is no other option. Controls are acceptable (I hate that it starts recording the moment you turn it on, I would prefer if I could turn it on and then press the button to start recording and pause/resume from there on, but this is a minor inconvenience). The one thing I really don't like, which is why I gave it one star less, is the proprietary charging/data cable. Why go out of your way to avoid USB-C, if not to force people to be tied to your brand? I think that's a low move, and even Apple had to give in on that end, so do the math. I feel the value for the money is excellent, when compared to the competition. And storage space? Let's just say that, if I don't delete audio from the device within a year, it makes no difference to me. I can't see myself ever filling 64GB of audio in 12 months, not even 40GB. Edit. I had initially given it 4 stars. Now, even 1 is too much. I tried merging a 1 hour audio with a 15 minutes audio, and it delivers a 1 hour and 6 minutes merged audio, effectively missing the last 9 minutes of the 15 minutes audio file. Additionally, I've been trying to transcribe the merged audio all day, and it just spins for hours (yeah, you read that right, HOURS),and no transcript has been delivered. As you can see, I still have my 10 hours of included transcripts available, but it just will not do it. What a complete ripoff. Of course, now I'm way too late to return it.
