Hi! Thanks for your question. The shelf life remains the same. 18 months from the manufacturing date. Please refer to the expiration date printed on the container for an exact time frame. Please note that the product is best stored with a closed lid, in a cool, dry place, such as a cabinet. We hope you love JOI!

Can you make non-dairy evaporated milk with this? What would the ratio be?

For a non- dairy evaporated milk version of JOI we suggest 3 tbsp of JOI per 1 cup of water.

Is it cheaper than buying milk at the store?

Hi, Samantha! Some grocery store-bought almond milk may have a lower price per serving because the milk is diluted at a higher ratio than what you're creating with JOI. Our 1 tbsp to 1 cup ratio has a 6% almond content, while grocery store brands that state 30-60 calories have 2-4% almond content. They then add gums and additives to mask the diluted flavor that is initially created. By all means, you can dilute JOI to hit those same calorie levels and price points that you desire, just experiment a bit more with JOI to find your perfect consistency, flavor, macro levels, and price point.

Is it supposed to have a seal over the opening?

Hi, Tamera! It should have a sticker on it, not the usual plastic seal in other jar products. The sticker is there for you to know it hasn't been tampered with. Our jars will come sealed but not vacuum sealed so they won't pop like a salsa jar.
