I was skeptical at first, but these protectors really work! My cat used to scratch the side of our sofa daily, and since putting these on, she’s completely stopped going after it. The material is thick and durable, but still clear enough that it doesn’t make the furniture look tacky. They were easy to install, stay in place well, and don’t leave any sticky residue when adjusted. I also like that the pack comes with several pieces so I can cover multiple areas. For the price, it’s such a relief knowing my furniture is protected without having to constantly redirect my cat.

Works wonders for my mother's couch! Though I found the stickness slightly unreliable when on the edges so i just cut two separate pieces for the edges.

Very good product to protect your furniture from cats using it as a scratching post. Easy to apply and made out of very sturdy material.

These are good and bad. I'll start with the good. They go on pretty easy. If they don't sit right where you want them, you can easily just peel them off and start again as many times as you want. They are clear and fairly unnoticeable. The different sizes allows you to customize them to your furniture. You can cut them with regular scissors to your furniture. Now the bad. Yes you can peel them off and try again. But as any pet parent knows there's fur everywhere in your house so be prepared to see it everytime you peel and stick. Cutting these is easy, but cutting them the way you want? Not so easy. The corners of all the sheets are rounded. I don't know about your furniture, but my furniture had straight lines. I bought the XL sheets and still had to use at least five or six sheets for each piece of furniture just to cover one or two sides of that one piece of furniture. When I started out working on this project, I focused on the areas I thought our cat would most likely go to scratch and that we would most likely hate it the most: our leather couches and my fabric chair. We focused on just the corners of those two pieces of furniture that he could easily access that we couldn't cover with a blanket for the time being, and then placed scratchers around to see how he did. For the first month when he went to scratch, if he touched these sheets they worked as they should. He was weirded out and moved onto the scratchers. However, a month in he decided he loved my fabric chair and we had to put more sheets on it. That's when it got tricky. These sheets are not made to curve, so cutting them or moving them around to do so was impossible. The screws they provide didn't help me much. I had to cut the tiniest of pieces to fit those corners that these sheets just aren't designed to fit, that furniture naturally has. Take a look at the chair or sofa you're sitting in right now. Notice the armrest or the back of it. See how it curves, see the weird almost not rectangular shape the furniture maker created? Well these sheets aren't perfect squares or rectangles, so you'll need two or three to cover it, meaning you'll either have to overlap or cut multiple pieces to cover that one side of your couch. It doesn't seem difficult, but once you're on your hands and knees on the floor for forty minutes trying for the fifth time to realign this sticky sheet on your nice fabric chair without another piece of cat hair getting stuck to it, and then cutting it in the right way so it isn't going to have a sharp point sticking out at the top, you'll understand why I only gave it three stars. They're a great solution for a temporary fix.

It's not often that I spend so much time reading reviews, however, I just purchased a new leather couch and a couple months prior to that, I became the proud momma to a very precious 2 month old kitten. So with that being said, I knew I needed to purchase a solution to his desire to SCRATCH my furniture before it arrived. I have a few cat scratching posts, which he uses often, however, I have seen him at times try to use the corner of the fabric couch. After reading many reviews, I found these excellent clear adhesive protectors. I'm a first time cat owner, so I wasn't sure what to expect and how much scratching they really do. Despite having many alternatives for him to scratch, there's something appealing to them to want to claw at the fabric. These sheets come delivered FLAT, which is so nice to be able to position the protector into the desired place and then slowly remove the back covering. After I had it on and in place, I used a hardcover book to gently spread over the area to make sure it was wrinkle free and securely adhered. The sheets are made of a pretty thick vinyl material and are completely clear and unnoticeable, which is a great feature to have. My cat hasn't even gone near the new leather couch, so I haven't had to use them there. (Yet!) I put the protectors on the back and sides of my fabric recliner, which is another place he likes to sneak up on for a lazy stretch and a scratch. I watched him try to do his maneuver over the vinyl and he looked at me with all kinds of confusion because it didn't satisfy him at all. The sheets have been on now for 4 days and he hasn't even gone near the recliner! I'd say this particular brand of protectors are an incredible value, worth every cent, and I'm so happy I had them ready and waiting. They're not difficult to apply at all and I'd say almost anyone of any age can easily do them. They can be very easily cut to fit your exact size area that you want to cover. I ended up using one of the large sheets to cover the back of my recliner which is positioned in a way that when you walk into the room, you see the back of the recliner and the sheet protector is not visible at all, unless you were actually looking for it. This packet I purchased comes with 4 large protectors and 24 twist pins. I have not needed to use the pins, but I can see that they'd be very helpful and necessary if you have a stubborn cat who really wants to scratch. I'd recommend using this brand of sheets over some of the others that come wound up tight in a tube. I ended up returning the ones that came in the tube because I just could not get them to lay flat. I am going to purchase a second set of this brand to have as back ups or if my cat decides to find another area that he wants to scratch on. This brand comes in other sizes too and comes in a kit with some catnip and an alternative scratch board for your kitty. This is definitely a 5-STAR product and I've already shared a sheet with my neighbor who said she can't believe how great they work. I'd recommend to anyone who has an indoor cat that likes to scratch!

I was shocked at my cat’s reaction to these furniture protectors. She watched me start installing them and immediately tried to attack the couch, before I could even put the screw pins on. In the video I have not finished installing all the protector sheets or screw pins but the cat figured out within minutes that she can’t claw the back of the couch. I have several scratching posts nearby that she loves and can attack instead. Extremely pleased with this product!

Very practical and you can skip the pins and cut to the shape that suits your furniture.

Being a cat mom does come with its struggle. My couch is definitely being attacked on the daily, since my cat don’t want to use her scratcher. I bought these hoping it’ll work.. and it surprisingly does. My couch is now messed up, only where I didn’t place the shields ahaha. It functions pretty easily, just gotta pop it on the couch. It’s good quality and sticks nicely to your surfaces. It protects my couch for sure, where I placed it. In apparence, it does not really look good, but it’s worth the money still.

UPDATE #3: May 31,2020 Sorry folks, I can't help myself but promise last update lol. ****8 months later and these are still stuck fast and literally look brand new. Furry friend never tried to scratch them since his first attempt last year. Thrilled. I want to order more but kitty just sticks exclusively to his scratch posts now! UPDATE #2: Jan 15, 2020 ****Its been two weeks since applying my second order to my leather furniture. Sticks well without pins around square corners but it has to wrap right around a corner by a few inches too assure adhesion. I wouldn't cut the pieces to meet at the corner. Definitely wrap it around. The photo of the piece lifting was just a small extra piece I was trying to find a place to use but show what happens if closer to a curve. Extremely pleased. 👏 UPDATE #1: Dec 28, 2019 ****I'm still loving these. 1. Love how these are also keeping my furniture clean (outdoor kitty) and are easy to wipe down. 2. I'm ordering more for my leather furniture because although the material is more a harder plastic then a light film, it's pliable enough and sticking well to my fabric furniture most notably around curved corners AND without the pins. I don't want to puncture my leather furniture with the pins. Also my leather furniture is not a casual cut, the lines are very clean and angular. I doubt this "no pins" approach would work on a soft pliable leather. Hope this sticks to leather as well as it sticks to cloth 🤞**** FIRST REVIEW: November 2019 It's been a month of bliss. Perfect product. Does exactly what it says. Very easy to install. To experiment I also put some on a chair that's part of the sofa set but didn't use the pins and it's also holding up perfectly. It's so nice that these are sticky on only one side as the other double sided sticky products get...well... unsanitary/ unsightly 🤢 lol once covered in his hair. The little gift that came with my purchase was adorable. Four furniture leg socks for protecting your floor that look like little kitty paws (awwwww!) The day I installed it, my furry friend tried scratching it once. With great satisfaction I watched his sweet little confused face look up at me as his nails slid ineffectively down the protector. I win.

Most cat protectors I've seen look like rubber arm covers, unsightly and takes the aesthetics and design away from your room/sofa. This was super easy to install, peel and stick thick plastic sheets to where you need them, and then pin down with the additional pin screws between the fibres of the sofa fabric. You can't tell they're on there, and have thoroughly frustrated the cat, who I am sure is now plotting my demise.
