The 'bees knees' of PTFE tape
I'm a full-time RVer and an old-school automotive gearhead. This is a good tape and works very similarly to the yellow gas-rated PTFE tape, but for a fraction of the price. I had originally been using the yellow PTFE tape, rated for gas fittings. But an RV neighbor stole my big roll of it when I let them borrow it to fix their water spigot. (This was at a campground) They left the next morning and didn't leave the roll on my picnic table as I asked them to. Anyway, I went back to using the white tape for a little while, and it's garbage. Honestly, the white tape is a waste of time. May work temporarily in a pinch, but honestly, a waste of time. With the white tape, you almost always have the issue of it riding up the threads and shearing. Even if you apply it counter-direction to the threads like you're supposed to. So- onwards to this product, the "blue" tape. I had never seen blue PTFE tape before, but according to the reviews on here, this one is really good. So I decided to test it and I am happy to report that YES. It is very good and works so much better than the junky white PTFE. Works JUST AS WELL as the yellow gas tape and actually a bit better than the yellow tape for WATER applications. This is because this is a hair thicker than the yellow tape. ALTERNATIVELY, look for Milrose Blue Monster 'Gas Guard' if you want a true yellow-equivalent.

Less hassle! High quality tape.
I've heard about this tape for quite sometime and figured I'd give it a try. I would make sure if you're planning to do a lot of thread wrapping, get more than one. I was redoing all my sprinkler adapters and luckily, one whole tape was just enough but even for the higher price, I do feel it's worth it. One thing that I always hated was trying to keep the tape flat with the traditional PTFE tape. It's too thin and breaks easily while this blue tape I'd say is twice if not three times as thick so it doesn't easily fold. Since it's thicker, I only wrapped it twice. Just make sure to wrap them in the correct direction as you'll quickly find out you wrapped them in the wrong direction being thick. Most of the pipe diameter was between 5/8"-1" so these worked out perfect. A bit too wide for smaller threads but it still worked out well. Overall, I'm very satisfied and will buy some more. Where I'll keep the traditional PTFE is for areas I won't be wrapping often and can take my time.

Much Better Than the Average Thread Tape
I had a shower valve cap with a slow drip. I tried the white teflon tape and it slowed down, but still leaked. I read about the blue Monster tape on a Reddit thread and decided to give it a try before a $200 plumbing house call. I wrapped the threads about four times in the direction that the cap would screw on. The cap got a great seal and I haven’t seen a single drip since. I am a DIY homeowner and amateur plumber at best. In the photo, you can see I put a shallow lid underneath the valve for 48 hour test. No drips. This stuff is highly recommended for a good reason. It saved me a lot of money, and I always want to have some of this on hand.

The best choice for your RV
This stuff saved us over $250 a few years ago. We thought we had to replace the whole "water center" in our fifth wheel. Our RV repair guy said to wrap the fittings with this stuff first and see if that fixed the leak. It did, that trailer hasn't leaked there since. Fast forward 5 years to our new to us truck camper had some issues. Wrapped the fittings with this stuff and no more leaks

Best tape for high quality jobs!
Outstanding material for plumbing jobs you want done right for leak prevention and ease of use. Installed new taps on our water heaters and it was recommended not to use standard white tape but this stuff instead.

Nice except for where it’s made.
It is nice tape. It’s thicker than cheaper/lesser big box store tapes. What I don’t like is where it’s made. If I was using a lot of this stuff it would bug me. No reason to go to the home of the CCP for plumbing tape. Are we really a country if we don’t even manufacture our own plumbing tape???
