Two issues: it didn’t quite make my finger straight enough to correct mallet finger and it actually began cutting off circulation and my finger started swelling. Had to continually remove it, and finally had to go back to my old splint overnight with a little diy padding to cause the finger to be bent a little back at the tip. Lot of trial and error. Then my finger was locked from bending no less than a 90 degree angle, but over time with movement, alternating hot water and cold water while moving it, and the use is about 95% bendable. This splint is a good idea and probably works well for various issues, but for mallet finger you will need it to bend the tip back a little more. I would recommend it as an option for some conditions. Also, for the record it is taking about 5-6 months for full healing of mallet finger, and now it bends not only straight, but I can hyper extend it like before the injury. Long healing though, especially while moving, lifting, packing boxes.

Helped immensely with my trigger finger. Had surgery on another finger and didn't want to go through that again. This guard helped my tendon rest and I avoided another surgery.

These are great little splints...Only problem:I ordered a clear splint, even paid a little extra for it, but I received a flesh colored one

No brand beats this. Tried generic for cheaper and they didn't last long. This brand is so durable and has survived the test of time. I've had the same one for years, worn daily. Also more comfortable.
