It's hard to believe that you can get an electric 12 string this nice for this kind of coin. Beautifully made and easy to play. I bought the trans amber finish after trying several other electric 12 strings. For some reason other manufacturers basically take a 6 string model and make it a 12 string using the same 6 string neck. The result is a very cramped fingerboard that makes it nearly impossible to play cleanly. The Boca is designed with the correct fingerboard width and plays like any other 12 string. The body is mahogany with a thick maple cap, not just a layer of veneer, with a center block that runs the full length of the body. The neck is maple which is strong enough to allow a thin neck while remaining stable. Grover tuners make for good tuning properties but also make the guitar head heavy. I use mine for recording and am usually seated so this not an issue for me. A masterful job of construction which makes it hard to understand why they put the wrong pick ups in it. The reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. The pick ups are wound to a very hot 14k of resistance and it is surprising that it still sparkles the way it does. I chose to replace the pick ups with Ascendas HZ5 zebras from here on Amazon, about $38 for the pair. They have Alnico 5 magnets and a much lower resistance, about 8.4Kh for the bridge and 7.2Kh for the neck. Wow what a difference! I would recommend this mod to anyone who buys this guitar. Buy this guitar and install these pick ups. You'll be laughing all the way to the bank!
