Smell and taste is very bad. I am not saying it's expired but it's not good at all.

I’ve tried a lot of flavored coffees over the years, and most of them fall into one of two camps: either the flavor is so faint you can barely tell it’s there, or it tastes like someone sprayed vanilla-scented air freshener into the bag. This one finally hits the balance I’ve been looking for. The French Vanilla flavor is creamy and noticeable without being overwhelming, and it doesn’t have that sharp, artificial edge that so many flavored coffees have. I did a lot of research before buying because I wanted something with natural ingredients and low acidity, and this blend checks both boxes. The low‑acid roast makes a big difference — it’s smooth on the stomach and doesn’t leave that harsh bite you sometimes get with medium roasts. The aroma is warm and sweet when you open the bag, and it carries through while brewing without becoming too sugary or perfumey. I’ve brewed it in both a drip machine and a French press, and it performs well in both. The French press brings out more of the vanilla creaminess, while the drip gives a cleaner, lighter cup. Either way, it’s consistent, smooth, and easy to drink black or with a splash of cream. If you’re looking for a flavored coffee that tastes natural, smells amazing, and doesn’t upset your stomach, this one is absolutely worth trying.

This is hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had. The flavor is rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced—strong enough to wake you up, but not bitter or harsh. Every cup tastes fresh, comforting, and almost café-quality right at home. The aroma alone makes my mornings better, and it brews beautifully whether I use a regular coffee maker or my single-serve machine. If you’re a coffee lover or just want something reliable and delicious to start your day, this coffee is an absolute must. It’s quickly become my everyday favorite.

I first found this product in a Home Goods store. I loved the smell and even loved the flavor more. I can't find it locally in any store, so I ordered a 2nd one on Amazon. Today I am ordering it again. This flavor is outstanding! LOVE it! Caffeine content or strength is not important to me at all. All that matters is quality, flavor and price.

Not the best flavor from bones coffee company. Don’t get much pancake flavor as much as just blueberry. Smelled fresh, I think Amazon workers couldn’t stop smelling the bag because they were flat as can be when received 😂 love bones coffee company, doesn’t leave a strong acidic aftertaste. Organic renewable, small aribic coffee beans. Had to watch a video to open the bag correctly, ruined my first 2 bags trying to open the opposite direction. Not hard on my stomach. Difficult to use bag, should have directions on packaging to avoid customer error. No, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out but come on, we’re all sleepy just trying to get a good cup of energy in the morning. Much love bones, stay weird. Loyal customer.

TLDR: Low acid, and great flavor, decent price I have tried a handful of the flavor offerings from Bones and I have not been disappointed. Our favorite one is this Highland Grog and we have bought both regular and decaf a number of times. Some things that come to mind why we love it: -The grounds are perfect for use in our Nespresso using a reusable pod. -I also grind beans for pour overs and it always turns out the way I want it to- good flavor and not watered down -The flavor of medium roast to me offers the best flavor, I used to only love dark, and I was shown the light. -The lower acidity of these coffee helps us not to worry too much about drinking too much coffee as it won't upset our stomachs. Price is pretty competitive with other brands sold here and IMHO I think every brand is selling coffee probably a few dollars too much. That said, Bones provides a great product for the price, and it is our go-to brand for our coffee needs :)
