Crystal-Clear Audio After a Tricky Setup
I bought ultimate Combo. The sound quality is definitely good, no doubt about that. But it doesn’t work straight out of the box. You’ll need some time to set it up properly. You’ll have to download the app, explore the functions, and do a bit of trial and error before it runs smoothly. If you want to use it as a mic for video calls on a laptop or PC, make sure your drivers are updated and restart your system; for recording, ensure everything is paired correctly and the app is up to date. Sound-wise it’s excellent, but it does require tweaking before it works as expected. Another drawback is when the RX is connected to systems with multiple audio devices. It’s hard to know which one is your mic. It would be much better if the RX appeared with a unique name on the PC. I even had to disconnect all my other mics and speakers just to identify which one was the Lark Max 2. You can also rename it on PC once you find out your input device. A Windows app would be a great addition too. It would also help if they made a short YouTube tutorial showing how to set it up on camera, phone, and PC, without all the sales talk or comparisons. Just short and simple step-by-step guide. That said, once you get the hang of it and understand the functions, it’s an excellent mic that delivers crystal-clear audio.

Highly recommend!!
The first thing I want to mention is the delivery! I ordered this in the morning at 10am and it arrived by 7pm on the same day! Getting onto the actual review tho. I was torn between getting the Hollyland system or the DJI system, I had tried both of them at different events and decided to go with Hollyland, mainly for the wireless audio monitoring and I must say, I’m blown away with the quality. 32 bit float audio is no joke. I do a lot of filming with cars and being able to record 2 channels of audio is extremely useful as I can put one mic in the engine bay and one inside the car and with how strong the magnets are I have no concerns about the mics falling off. I also love the ability to plug in a lav mic, I’m not a fan of having mics in shot when I’m filming and being able to use these as transmitters instead makes it really useful. You get loads of accessories in the box and pretty much every cable you’ll need. The audio quality out of these mics is insane for their size and you’ll definitely notice the difference in quality. Overall I’m really happy with these and they have been a massive upgrade to my audio setup.

Very good, very impressed
This is my first mic kit bought on black friday, it's amazing. There's some quirks that might trip someone up: Connection issues solution: If using a mobile and the app, to get it to connect fully, use the USB receiver, then it'll connect the mic once you hold the power button until it enters bluetooth mode, or it'll do it automatically if you've done it before. It doesn't seem to be FULLY connected unless you go down to wireless monitoring and turn that on too, back out of the screen and you should see the mic being picked up in the app, if you don't, click on wireless monitoring again (check it's on) and then back out again and it'll work. (My guess is whoever programmed the app simply made a logic error where going into that screen plays the animation to tick the on button but has used a flip flop which turns it back off if that animation is triggered again, hence why doing it a second time turns it back on simply by entering that screen). I'm guessing there's other small workflow things to note but I haven't found them yet, so far I'm ridiculously impressed by the features and quality though for the price I got it for. I think the connection issues other reviewers have said might be little logic quirks about how the hardware was developed and programmed, which, if you know how what order to do things in, shouldn't be an issue. I've not had it long though so, I could be wrong.

Stonking value and quality. Genuinely impressed.
Zero complaints here. Actually, really good quality - prefer these to the DJI alternative. Bought for second camera use in a 2-cam setup, so I could pop one pair of wireless mics per camera for a 4pax interview. Having the wireless in ear monitors means as a solo shooter I can monitor audio from the second camera alongside the main. BUT - I like these so much they have become my main set. Smaller, clearer and crisper than the alternative. Plus coming with 2 lav mics included is also a great value add. Wish I had maybe bought the 4pax kit, but I'm positive I'll add two extra receivers further down the line. Highly recommend so far.

Good Quality Sound
Got the Lark Max 2 to pair with my Sony FX30. I am happy with the Quality of Sound, plus it's got 32bit float audio.

Very frustrating piece of Kit
Very frustrating piece of Kit, when working and earpiece connected its superb BUT the amount of times I test it on Fri night working perfectly but on a sat at game time when I need to listen to Referee 30/40% of time it won't connect. Touch screen control system is NOT user friendly in my Opinion. The amount of times I have to revert back to Max 1 with cable (annoying this is why I bought max 2 as no cables) is as I said very frustrating Did contact help desk a few times and they did try to help but instructions and control screen so difficult to work easily. I spent too much money on this to not try and use but o so annoying. Wish I hadn't bought it

Just picked up the Hollyland Lark Max 2 recently. I was hesitant about the price at first, but after recieving the package, it’s honestly good valued compared to the market for a whole wireless system. Best things that make these stand out is the 32 bit float recording system. The audio is super crisp, and the battery life easily gets me through a full day of shooting. Love the OWS monitoring feature, very comfortable earphones that felt like I wasn’t even wearing them. Both had excellent top-notch audio quality. Overall very satisfied with the product!

Works as expected. The main inconvenience for me is inability to put transmitters into a charging case WITH the magnets attached. It is such a simple detail that would save time and effort. I really enjoyed the ability to monitor audio wirelessly - no cables, dangling from the camera.

There are so many reviews on this more recent Hollyand Lark MAX 2 system. I'm going to be one of the cheerleaders for it here. It's the best small-profile, wireless mic setup I've used, and I've owned several: DJI Mic 2 (really solid, but not as versatile), a couple of "not quite household name systems" such as Rythflo and SYNCO, a Neewer CM28 system and even two other Hollyland systems (the Lark M2 and Lark M2S). For a system that allows for up to FOUR TRANSMITTERS at once, as-needed lavalier mic options, and for smart phone or camera receiver needs, WITH 32-BIT FLOAT, and wireless monitoring (with up to two transmitters), this system is (currently) unmatched. I ordered the system with two transmitters and the wireless ear monitors, and then I ordered--separately--two additional transmitters. The key features are solid: easy mounting receivers for smart phone or cameras, great transmitter battery life, excellent noise cancellation, easy-to-learn on-transmitter and on-receiver button/interface options, onboard 32-bit audio recording on each transmitter (great backup protection for a session if needed), excellent as-needed lav mic options. OH--LET'S NOT FORGET THE CLIP DESIGN for these transmitters, which is the best I've seen. You can use their supplied magnet option if you'd prefer, but this clip design is the best in class for giving you great tactile and audible confirmation of the clip being open or closed. Interestingly, the supplied kit bag holds not only the full system I purchased (two transmitters, both receivers, charging case, the transmitter deadcats, lav mics, cables, attachments, etc.), but also has room (not a compartment, but room) for the additional two transmitters and attachments I purchased separately. The build quality and durability is consistent with what I've come to expect from Hollyland. I cannot believe the value for the cost of this setup and the problems it solves. Highly recommend. I've posted some images of the components, but what you see in the listing for the various kit options are pretty comprehensive. MY MAIN REASON FOR POSTING IS TO SHOW THE EXTRA TRANSMITTERS AND THEIR KIT, AND THE FULLY-LOADED ZIP BAG, which includes those extra transmitters. My point is: you can get this kit and those extras comfortably into that case/bag. If I get some good samples of video/audio capture, I'll post later, but--honestly--there's such good content in place already. I'm just posting to validate the rave reviews and video/audio posts that underscore the superiority of this system. Strong recommendation.
