Third time lucky. Great quality
So needing cameras for the garden as my previous ones broke. I've had a nightmare trying to get the right type, I needed 2 way audio which ironically are harder to get than you think when you need other features too. The features I needed had to have 2 way audio, a good night vision, sync to an app for my mobile phone and a camera i can actually select a motion area for so I'm not recording or receiving notifications for areas outside of my garden. Thrid time lucky as they say... Well with this it certainly was. So easy to set up I timed it and including unboxing took me a whole 15 mins to get it all out box antenna on etc. It can be set up both via WiFi or ethernet cable (I chose WiFi so can't comment on the other method) Extra 2 minutes for the downloading of the app but that doesn't count lol (your best downloading the app and signing up to NETVUE so then when you are u boxing it's literally just straight to set up as email needs verification like most accounts these days). It synced not a problem and there's a major bonus with this camera!!!... It works on my fire stick and my echo show 5 so we can view it on our TV too. There is also options to use a subscription. The options includes either motion detection or 24/7 record which upon looking at is a lot cheaper than most and from a brand that's highly respected. The picture quality is fantastic both day and night time. My surprise is the price of this my previous brand of the same quality was nearly 4x the price I paid for this. Like it that much I've ordered another for the front door because I've clearly this time found what I need for why I need it without losing features and actually gaining features due to it working with certain Alexa enabled devices. Recommended this. It's a budget price but certainly no budget camera.

Very cool piece of kit
After getting a rock thrown through the window due to a kid falling out with out my 15yr old son I decided to get some security put in place, I was quoted anywhere from £600 to £800 from security companies which I felt was a little overkill for my needs so I started to research the hell out of what I would buy online. I found these and have to say I'm really pleased with the Cameras, very simple to use, even easier to install just bear in mind you need to work your route out first and that the Cam has 3 wires, (one being the wifi receiver) coming out the back and need to be made watertight, I felt i didn't need a junction box to hide the cables so simply drilled the exterior hole bigger made the cables watertight using a bag, electrical tape and tie clips. works like a dream with no restrictions to wifi access, my router is two rooms and about 5mts away from the wifi connection on the cam. I live in the North of Scotland by the North Sea and in the last month have experienced some pretty heavy storms, lots of rain and cold temperatures, My back garden is north facing so it takes a huge battering from incoming weather off the Sea and the cameras have taken it all with no negative effect. Excellent motion sensor, probably too good tbh, you can control the sensitivity, I suggest you play with this for a few days to adjust as you will be receiving a ton of texts when it rains etc. The sound quality from any conversations near the cameras is a little poor but its not a deal breaker. great picture/video quality with some great play back options. I don't use the cloud storage option as not needed. I bought the Scandisc 128gb memory card which is perfect with good overwriting qualities. In previous comments it was said about having to reformat the memory card, this is very simple as the app does it for you just choose the correct option. Extra cabling, one thing to consider if you have white walls...Remember to buy white cabling! If your looking for a a very well priced and reliable security system that is easy to install and use then is for you. Good luck

Great camera for the price. Motion detection kills it.
I've been wanting home CCTV for a while and didn't like the idea of having to drill multiple holes and run masses of cable back to a hard drive, that I'd then have to review in the event something happened. I read some good reviews with regards to the Netvue Vigil and liked the fact you could link them to Amazon Alexa. They were on offer so I jumped at the price. The camera is as simple as plug and play, if you connect it via WiFi and scanning the QR code. It only requires your WiFi password. I didn't want to rely on a plug socket constantly and already had exterior security lighting, so I took a feed from these and fitted some IP55 rated enclosures. (General Electric from Screwfix). You'll required to drill a 20-22mm hole for the camera cables. I purchased 240v-12v transformers from Amazon (about £4 each) which worked a charm. Once everything was fitted and secured, I sealed it all with silicone for extra weatherproofing. I've encountered some issues with the latest firmware updates (camera auto checks for updates every night at 0300 hours), but have to say the tech support received has been second to none. There was a minor issue with my SD card not formatting, but this may be down to the cheap card installed and not the camera itself. Again resolved by speaking with tech support and manually formatting the card to FAT32. My BIGGEST bug bear with these cameras has to be the awful awful motion detection and having to disable it as even at the lowest setting it's triggered by rain. I have one more camera to install for the back garden, and my setup will be finished. Despite the issues I've had I'd still recommend the camera due to its robust feel, ease of install and aftersales support. Pros: *Feel well made *Good quality image *Good night vision *Good quality app *Great tech support *Comes with everything required (minus the SD card) Cons: *Motion detection triggers constantly - even at the lowest setting *SD Card port is protected by two tiny tiny screws and if you have to access it high up, they'll no doubt be lost to the abyss *Issues with firmware updates *Video files in NVT3 format requiring Netvue app or desktop application to open *No current Google Home compatibility
