I wanted to try drone flying. After hours of YouTube videos and careful consideration, I decided on this FIMI Mini 3 drone. It was about a quarter of the price of a DJI. I didn't want to spend a bundle on something, fly it a few times, and put it in a closet. The Fimi has many features for the money and also has many positive reviews. I am quite happy with this drone. It flys very well and the features work quite nicely. The photo and video are quite good. I paired the controller with a Hanatora 4.7-12.9 Inch Tablet Holder Mount, AuviPal 240W USB C Coupler, and a six-inch USB-C cable. It works perfectly, and the mini 3 is a blast to fly. I am quite pleased with this purchase and glad I didn't drop four times as much money on the "better" brand. This certainly is at least a great beginner drone and is very easy to fly.

Bought this drone despite the many reviews that mention poor image quality in cold weather. I believe the sensor has been upgraded since those complaints were reported. Nonetheless, mine took its maiden flight in 40° f temps and I was very pleased with the video quality (4K 30p, *see screen shot) and how easy it is to use. Overall I’m happy with this purchase. Can’t speak for battery life yet because I’ve only flown it for about 10 minutes at the time of this review. Rated for 31 minutes of flight time, but probably a little less depending on temperatures and flying style.

Good for a very short distance. Light and easy to use video quality it good but if you use the zoom the quality drastically drops. Overall good short distance drone with okay camera.

I did my research when buying this drone - fly time, battery cost, video features and stability are all important. I wanted something under 250g so I didn't have to bother with a license (I'm just a hobbyist, mostly flying around my own property.) Batteries can be had cheap (~$50) if you look in the right places as well. It has a 3 axis gimbal so the video is VERY smooth. No vibrations come through, and it keeps it nice and level. There's a bunch of cool features I haven't even had a chance to get into yet (not to mention it's 4k at 60 FPS!) The remote is very clever too - the way it expands and connects to your phone directly (it comes with three different cables to ensure you're covered.) All of it fits inside the included little case; I'm still shocked how tiny it is. Flight time is around 25-30 minutes per battery and it comes with 2 batteries and a USB charger (that will charge both at the same time.) No indication of charge status though, outside of the light going off when it's fully charged. (Every bit of weight counts!) Be sure to get a good microSD card for this. Look for one that says something about 4K video and has a high write rate. Also has a "night mode" that can take some spectacular shots but I haven't tried that yet. Controls are mostly intuitive but I had a tough time figuring out a few of the advanced ones (like panorama.) Plenty of YT videos out there that explain it though, if you get lost. Came with extra blades too, in case you bonk it into something. Speaking of which, that was the only thing this didn't have - obstacle avoidance. If you're like me and just taking it up for overall shots and don't really fly around a bunch of obstacles it's not a big deal. Definitely a change coming from a Phantom 3 4K I bought ages ago. So much smaller, flies just as easy (if not easier) and charges with USB-C instead of proprietary chargers. No license needed, no remote ID needed, nothing. Considering the price it's one heck of a drone!

***Update 10/10/24: I did contact the seller regarding lose of drone because the Return Home function did not work and at first they asked me to return the rest of the product(accessories incl. remote) for a full refund, however they contacted me again and tells me that they will ship a drone only and I was not happy, but agreed to it. It took almost 2-weeks and numerous contacts regarding why it takes so long. I did get the delivery and opened to see it EMPTY... I did not know what to think and suspected them to send me a empty box, but I am suspecting that it was open during the shipping process, because the shipping box was cut open on the bottom and was taped over with clear scotch tape. This was the first bad experience from Amazon purchase and contacted Amazon to investigate regarding it. I did get a full refund after 2-weeks since contacting Amazon, but they did not tell me what happened and I am still questioning about it. It was shipped with USPS and should be investigated by US Post master regarding possible thief within their delivery process, however Amazon is the best and will continue shopping with the confidence. I will be waiting until the Black Friday sale to purchase the drone again. I was very unhappy with this purchase :( ***Original feedback: I used this drone during 5-days of Pacific Coast Hwy trip and lost the drone on my last day of the road trip. It went fine until remote screen froze at the distance of less than 2000-ft and tried to return home by pressing the return home button, but the remote lost reception and waited for half hour to be returned, but never did. It is supposed to return home when it loses signal, but did not work. I cannot return it because it is lost :(. The return home function worked good before this and really liked this FIMI drone until this happened and lost 3-days of great videos I took during the trip on 128-gb micro memory card in it... I am writing to the seller and will wait for the response and update.... So mad about it :(

This is great drone for the money. Very responsive, good battery life. Has a small issue with the data cable but after several emails it was addressed at FIMI. If you want a small, easy to fly, compact drone look no further.

I bought the Fey mini three Gps wouldn’t login so I contacted Femi support. And they were great took care of the problems analyzed and they finally just sent me a new steam drone that works perfect I could you could ask for any better service from them. They were there every single day texted me and ask questions until they got it resolved so anybody that wants a very, very, very nice drone mini drone Excellent video of flying features. I don’t think he could ask for anything better especially for the price. FIMI. Thank you. Very much I also have their X8 tel max. Does it get a drone as you could ask for clear camera? I just completed my first flight minutes ago with my Fimi Mini 3 in the cold, but I have many more at higher temperatures since September. Based upon other peoples comment on the internet recently about focus issues in lower temperature, I thought I'd see if mine suffers the same out of focus issue in cold weather. It was +3 C and I found that the video looked slightly out-of-focus but all the 48M still shots had unacceptably poor focus. This was the fist time I've flown it in colder weather (< 12 C). Needless to say that the usefulness of this drone's camera is mostly nonexistent to me in colder weather and disappointed. I can only hope that the issue is not mechanical in nature due to the cold, as in a change of the focal point of the imaging system. Too bad that mine will not perform well as I had anticipated using it in a little colder weather but it appears that this drone will be relinquished to only warmer weather flying, Flying, stability and handling was fine as usual and if I didn't have the focus issue the drone would have 4 stars. Update: Flying above ~ 10C (50F) appears to be fine and I've not tested it in temperatures between the +3C and +10C since my earlier comments. I've been able to get some great video and photos with it before the colder weather and if you're happy(er) flying in a warmer clime, consider this Mini 3.
