This is really a nifty grill, and has worked great for me both times I've used one. Lighting it is pretty easy, and it spreads to all of the coals quickly. Be sure to have the grill part about an inch above the coals. It holds cookable heat for at least an hour.

I love this grill, its construction was a work of art. The coals were quick to light, the grill got really hot and cooked the meat perfectly. We used it as a secondary grill but it would be perfect to carry in a back pack. It was light and when it cools down easy disposal. I would give it 20 stars not 5. I will order again.

I gave this as a gift to a friend who used it while camping. He said it worked perfectly and was easy to set up. I got him the pack of three, and nothing was broken. Only caveat is that the burn lasts about an hour--so just plan to get all your cooking done in that time. He was able to cook hamburgers well-done and some hotdogs on it.

The instructions for assembly were poor but manageable. The white insulation was slightly damaged though shipping and alot of it was crumbling and surrounded the charcoals. I had to take out all the coals and shake out the loose pieces. There was enough insulation left for the grill to work correctly, ie. not catch the frame on fire. Coals lite right up. Coals are hard and lite like a match head. Not like charcoal soaked in lighter fluid. Weird/bad smell while starting but goes away after a while and burns with out smoke. The grill support is very flimsy so you have to be careful with not over loading it. Heat is a medium heat and cooks slowly. I cooked 8 sausages and it worked well. No flair ups and nothing caught fire. I only knocked it down 1 star for the high price. I would buy it just for the charcoal if it was cheaper.

Very difficult to light and get going. After failing to light it with four stick matches and a butane lighter, I resorted to a propane torch. That worked to get it going, but some of the coals resisted turning white for quite some time. After about 15 minutes, it seemed hot enough to cook the three small steaks we had. It struggled to get the steaks up to temperature and we ended up finishing them on a pan in the kitchen. Good thing I tested this piece of allegedly biodegradable junk at home before taking it on a camping trip. Personally, I think lump charcoal in a hole in the ground is more environmentally responsible, cost-effective, and certainly a better cooking tool than this stupid thing. Save your money.

This little grill is perfect for a day on the beach. Easily packable and easy to set up. With a grilling time of 1 hour it’s just the right about of time. Make sure you shield it from the wind otherwise the grill will cook faster and also foods that are overly fatty make sure you keep an eye on them. After grilling we add a small log and have a nice fire on the beach! It’s perfect, I can’t recommend this little grill enough!

Took this on a hiking day trip to cook skewers for my son and me. My lighter gave up the ghost almost immediately and I wasn’t even sure if I’d gotten all four corners lit. So with no other option than to wait and see if this grill would get hot enough to cook our meat, that’s exactly what we did. I’ll say the first ten minutes were full of despair….it didn’t LOOK like the thing was working and we weren’t sure we were going to eat! But this mighty little sucker pulled through! We learned it’s a very gradual and subtle change….nothing dramatic. Took a bit longer than the 5 minutes expected time (probably due to my only being able to light 3 corners), but eventually all the coals were ashen and smoking and we were elated! Our sirloin cooked to perfection and even got a nice crust on the outside while being sooooo tender on the inside. I’m completely won over. I’ve seen the picture reviews of the grill completely disintegrated - I used an entire bottle of water to douse the coals, and still was able to carry it back to the trashcan intact, didn’t even leak. It is very sturdy in my experience.

Por incrível que pareça, funciona mesmo. Aconselho acender os carvões com um mini maçarico. Ele esquenta de verdade, mas não chega a queimar o bambu usado na grelha. Porém ele demora mais do que uma churrasqueira convencional para assar uma carne para quem gosta de carne bem passada. Para quem gosta de carne mal passada ou ao ponto, é uma excelente opção. Gostaria que o carvão fosse vendido a parte para usar em uma churrasqueira convencional.

La hemos comprado en varias ocasiones por su versatilidad y utilidad. En este caso ha sido para un regalo a unos amigos que nos vieron usarla en otra ocasión y quedaron maravillados. Posiblemente fuera lento y no sirve para un chuletón gigante pero sí para una comida normal. Poco humo, siempre se prende con facilidad y a mis hijos les encanta para hacer una barbacoa mini en la terraza

Sehr gut - es hat gut und lange funktioniert. Und kaum Rauch. Perfekt für den Balkon! Kann ich empfehlen + ich habe es nochmal gekauft! (obwohl ich am Anfang skeptisch war)
