Pangea Suction Cup Mushroom Ledge

due to some concern from other reviews regarding the paint, i scrubbed this ledge really well with fluker’s super scrub before using it and am happy to say that there was no paint bleeding or flaking off. also this thing stays on the glass really well — you know the suction cups are decent when they can withstand the gravitational force of a frog the size of Burp. he likes the ledge so much he sat on it all night watching the gecko in the enclosure next door, and then fell asleep on it. 5 stars all around.

Normally I'm a huge fan of Pangea products but Im pretty unsure on this one. I went to wash it off before putting it in my crested's cage and a punch of the paint seemed to be caked on the bottom. Attached picture is what my fingers looked like from rubbing it under running water. I had to use a toothbrush to get the caked on stuff off and it took a few minutes even then. I believe I got all of the extra off and the paint job still looks good on it. Im really wary of putting it in the cage because of this but I will update after a week or so.

I have a juvenile giant day gecko in a tall tank that has his lights at the top, and he always clings to the top to be closer to the light. Since he developed this habit, he got really bad floppy tail, so I wanted a ledge for him to be closer to the light so he could sit horizontally.But uhhhh no matter what I do, one suction cup will never stick. Once I get one to stick, the other one comes off. Very frustrating and not safe for my little guy. Also, the cleaning of this ledge is weird, it’s a foam material with a dusty coating on the surface— water resistant, but definitely porous. I had such high hopes, oh well.

My crested gecko loves this ledge! I will say though I had to scrub at this before putting it inside her tank because the reddish coloring on it transfers super easily like a powder almost. So just scrub this a bunch and make sure it’s clean and won’t transfer on your gecko. Other than that, this stays put with the suction cups that are sent with it!

My newts love it. It's sturdy and looks nice. However you need to thoroughly clean it as the paint leaves a white residue on the tank. It also has an odor to it. If you do clean it with a brush and warm water, the smell goes away.

Love this sticks to the glass very soundly! My leopard gecko uses it to bask in the early evening after her feeding. She seems to love it too!

The suction has to be wet first but after that it holds on tightly and doesn’t fall down unless it’s a lot of weight

Bought this for my girlfriends firebelly toad aquarium she loves it and so do the toads.
