Wow, outstanding fabulous great to work with with East use double-sided tape

I remodeled a guest bedroom and wanted to put in a floating wall with a TV and fireplace. I originally though about doing this wall with a dry stack stone, but it was cost prohibitive and would be messy and time consuming. I'm glad that I went with these 3D panels instead. Everyone who has seen them has been wowed by them. I built the floating wall using 3-1/2" steel studs and covered it in 1/2" OSB. I primed it with white Kilz (so that any gaps in the panels would not be as noticeable) and used double sided carpet tape to adhere the tiles. The tiles look fantastic! If you are going to build a floating wall, I would suggest that you build it to the same dimensions as the number of tiles you plan to use (width and height). I don't think you could find a way to make a cut edge look finished, unless it butts up against and adjoining wall. To cover the edge of the OSB (plywood) I used the plastic drywall finishing edge from the local Big Box hardware store (see the second picture). I left approximately 4 inches of overhang on all sides and mounted these chasing LED's from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M9XHYVB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 in these angled channels https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LL3S006/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The TV mount and fireplace are also from Amazon. When building the steel stud wall, I internally braced the TV mount location with wood 2x4" and ran a power cord to that area. I used a table saw to cut the panels for the bottom row, but I could have used a handsaw or really good scissors. These panels are a decent thickness and not flimsy at all. There are microscopic gaps between the panels, but they are only noticeable close up. If you are concerned about the gaps, I would suggest that you mount the panels, then fill the gaps and paint the panels with a paint suitable for plastic. BTW, the electric fireplace puts off quite a bit of heat (mostly forward and up) and it has not affected the tiles at all.

This was a very worthy purchase which adds great value and class to your living space at an affordable price point. It was fairly easy to work with and cut. Material is not flimsy and holds up extremely well with scotch indoor mounting tape for a clean finish. I didn't want to use liquid nails because it could get messy. I'm just mad I didn't look into doing this a long time ago. It catches everyone's eye and is a compliment generator.

It looks great. My complaint has more to do with the nature of these products, not the quality of this particular one. Using the double sided adhesive made for this, it starts to peel after a few months.

Great look! I used this product on my ceiling and I love it! It was easy to cut and easy to clean and easy to hang. It's durable and beautiful to look at too!

Important things up front: You need the right adhesive, it makes all the difference. They're extremely difficult to cut without the right equipment. Try to buy them all at once since I've learned the color can vary slightly depending on different lots (unless you're planning to paint them, then it doesn't matter). I'm putting up ~200 panels so I have learned a lot. Please listen to me and pay the extra money and get liquid adhesion meant for PVC/Vinyl. It’s more expensive but it makes all the difference. I bought the wrong kind at first and it was a mess. The panels were sliding out of place, the glue didn’t dry white, it was everywhere, it was so much work. It was taking 15 minutes to hang one panel because you had to hold it and keep pushing it back into place. Then I went and bought the more expensive liquid adhesion meant for PVC aka Vinyl and it made it sooooo much easier. The panels stuck right on, didn’t move or slide and the glue dried white and there wasn’t a mess like with the other glue. I was putting up a panel a minute. You need the Loctite Power Grab Tub Surround Adhesive. This adhesive makes all the difference. And I've had to remove a few panels and it is even easier to remove the ones hung with this adhesive. Easier and less damage to walls. Unless you have the right equipment and I'm talking a circular saw (a jigsaw isn't going to cut it) these are EXTERMELY difficult to cut. They're tough to cut through AND think about it, they're not flat, the surface is all different sizes, so makes it very difficult to draw a straight line across to follow when cutting and to actually cut them straight is so difficult. If you need to cut out around light switches and electrical sockets, buckle up because it is A LOT of work. A few panels, not a big deal, just take your time. If you're hanging a lot of panels be ready for a lot of work. Also, pick up a pair of tin snips for trimming and the roughest sand paper out there to smooth the rough edges. One other thing, I don’t understand why they tell you to start from the center of the wall. I think it depends on it there is a pattern or not that needs to be followed. The ones I have don't have a specific pattern so I didn't start from the center and it is fine in my opinion. The panels are really light weight but sturdy.
