Crazy Rich Asians (Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy)

I'm sure the movie will be hilariously decadent.But, as a book, it's far too long for what it is, a Givenchy scented ridiculous sequence of ever increasing examples of how to waste a million (or a 100). The main characters are a bit too perfect but still likeable enough that we want to know how it all ends, so not as bad as some other airport "literature".If you want a 21st century Pretty Woman redo, with a lot more diamonds, priceless jewellery, next season couture, rare furniture and every single luxury brand ever created, this is for you.

Ich habe zuerst den Film gesehen, das Buch übertrifft noch mal alles! Witzig, übertrieben, grenzenlos.

Ca a l'air passionnant, ce dialogue de cultures. Le contenu semble optimiste. Je souhaiterais, pourtant, avoir un DVD.

The changes were necessary in adapting the movie. The movie plot holds together better, but the book has many interesting details about fashion, food and business that couldn't be covered in a film.

Love book. Way better than the movie (which I also loved) but we all know the books are full of much more detail !
