Best bag I've owned
Great quality bag(s). Just received my second of this same bag, I did get a different color so I can tell them apart. Here is the deal. I travel pretty much non stop. I've been to 63 countries in the last 3 years alone. When i fly I only do carry on, I never check in bags. It solves all lost luggage issues and waiting at baggage claim issues. 3 years ago I bought my first Kaka Bag and was immediately impressed. Even though it says it's a 35 liter bag it holds more than my 45L Sierra bag did and it is much much more durable. Everything from the material to the zippers is better made and better designed. I can easily fir my laptop and 30 days clothes, first aid kit ect...everything for a month in one bag. I do travel with two bags as I often stay out and about up to 90 days so I can jam 30 days of clothing in each bag. I usually only have to do laundry once every two weeks. I'm happy and excited to say that this brands quality has not changed. My newly received bag is as sturdy as my 3 year old bag, which even though I stuff it to the gills and it's been to 63 countries it still looks like new. I love the padded shoulder straps and the fact that it has a waistbelt as most bags this size don't. The shoulder straps and waistbelt can be zipped into the back compartment when bag is stowed so you don't have straps hanging everywhere. There are sturdy grab handles on the top and bottom on the front of the bag. How sturdy you ask? One one of my trips I fell crossing a fast moving river. I had my Sierra pack on my back and my Kaka pack on my front. My buddy grabbed both handles on the Kaka bag and lifted me to my feet using them. I weigh about 220lbs. There is also a handle on one of the long sides allowing you carry it like a briefcase if desired. Also included is a adjustable detachable shoulder strap that has a multitude of clips attached to the bag for different ways to attach the shoulder strap. When doing long walks and hikes I'll wear one bag on the back and one on the front. When in airports of short walks I'll wear one on my back and use the shoulder strap on the other. if you haven't figured it out yet, I really like these bags. If you are on the fence just do it, you won't be sorry! Happy travels! I'm off to Cebu tomorrow with my new bag.

Great backpack for travel
Great travel backpack. Its super sturdy, has lots of compartments, fits comfortably and is very functional. We've taken this all over the world and since we hate checking in bags we like to have a big enough backpack that will carry most of our stuff but still fit in overhead bins and this works perfectly.

This is the bag you want!!
I don’t write a lot of reviews but I absolutely had to write one for this. I originally bought this the medium size bag in green to be my gaming back pack. It comfortably, and safely, houses my gaming laptop, external hard drive, external CD ROM, gaming headset, controller, power cord, mouse and all other laptop paraphernalia. With the lock, I feel a bit more secure when traveling with my set up and it fits in carry on. I have a chronic illness and tend to go into the hospital a lot, so having a go bag for my gaming gear is nice for family, as all of my stuff is one place. I have also used this bag for a weekend trip and the amount of clothes and toiletries it holds is pretty impressive. I liked this bag so much I just bought the larger one in a different color for my upcoming trip. The versatility of the carrying options is incredibly convenient, allowing me to put one on my bag and carrying the other like a tote bag. It’s comfortable and incredibly durable. The only hang up is I wish this had a separate waterproof compartment for shoes. I actually checked out the WITZMAN brand Travel back packs, which are very similar in design but DO have the shoe compartment. However, I couldn’t justify spending $30 extra dollars just to get that compartment (which was the only real difference between the two bags). I’m incredibly happy with my purchase, and I’ll probably buy another one of these for my kiddo when she goes off to college this fall. Buy this bag! I put hours of research into this and I’m definitely glad I took the time because I am far from disappointed 😊

Excellent value travel bag ... but a few flaws & questionable design choices
(4.25 stars really) I've used this bag now for both a long European vacation and a weekend trip. Overall, it has some strong features but a few flaws/design tradeoffs that aren't deal-killers but hold this back from being the perfect bag. At its price point, it's a tremendous value. I have no regrets buying it. If you want to save money and it suits your needs, buy without hesitation. However, there may be better options out there particularly if you find any of the flaws/tradeoffs unbearable and/or you're willing to pay more. POSITIVES - Seriously durable, high quality materials including fabric, zippers, handles, and stitching. I'm extremely impressed. I suspect this bag will last a long, long time even with heavy use. - Actually meets airline carry-on requirements in both the US and EU. - Thanks to its waist belt, you can carry heavier loads for long periods when needed. This is the main reason I chose this bag over many other options. If you load it to the max and have to carry it for an hour or more, you'll be very happy there's a waist belt to transfer much of the load to your waist rather than having it all suspended on your shoulders. That said, because there's no internal frame, no load lifter adjustments, and no padding on the waist, this bag is not a substitute for a dedicated hiking/outdoor backpack for extended heavy use for many, many hours/days. However, it's fabulous for a couple hours when needed as a traveler. - Actually carries its specified capacity (35L), which is great given it's compact dimensions. - Decent outside pouch/organizer pockets but they're all fairly shallow. NEGATIVES / FLAWS / QUESTIONABLE DESIGN CHOICES - The shoulder straps are well padded and wide. However, compared to other bags, they have a cut and fabric edge on them that can chafe a bit. - The waist belt has no padding. I suspect this is because it wouldn't properly stow away if it were padded so it's a necessary tradeoff. So it's functional in terms of weight transfer to your hips, but it's not as comfortable on your waist as a well-padded waist belt. - Waist belt has a pocket but it's tiny and non-stretchy material... so tiny and non-stretchy it won't hold my phone, which isn't a small phone but not a huge one either. In addition, because there's no padding and it's not stretchy, anything you put in there will be directly against your pelvic bones which means it's not comfortable to carry anything in it. IMO it's just not usable, which is a shame. - This backpack has a water bottle holder which many travel bags lack (not sure why) so that's good. However, it's a bit shallow and not as stretchy as some water bottle holders. This means you can't use oversize bottles. Also, while bottles are easier to take out, they're also less secure and more likely to fall out. If you're carrying a metal bottle, be prepared to have it fall often and you'll pick up a lot of dings and dents as a result. Also, I wish there were a second water bottle holder. - There are straps for tightening the bag laterally but not load lifter straps. These rather unnecessary and fussy IMO as they impede easy opening of the main compartment. I would have preferred load lifters to straps. - Has a laptop pouch in the main compartment but it's not particularly well padded. However, they made a super-soft padded velvety pouch on the top for (presumably) your phone. I would have rather seen them put the padding soft touch treatment on the laptop case. My phone has a case and doesn't need all that padding and protection. But if my bag is handled roughly or dropped, it could suffer damage far more easily. - You can carry the bag as a shoulder bag instead of backpack using the provided strap and attachment points. Realistically, though, you're just not going to do so. There's no padding at all on the strap so it will be very, very painful to carry it in this way. - A little bit heavy. This isn't the lightest bag you'll find as a result of the durable material choices. Be aware if you're weight restricted on your flights as there are lighter options out there which may be better even if they won't last as long.

Great bag.
UPDATE: it traveled like a champ and fit under the window and center seats on Delta 737s. I had to slide my feet in under it a bit, but at least in Comfort+, I had more than enough leg room to be happy. While the bungee worked, it turned out to be easier to use the belly strap and chest strap to secure it to the handle of my roller. I was not only able to take everything I needed for the conference, but bring everything home plus a bulky item I won in a drawing. ——— Going to Amazon’s annual AWS conference, re:invent, and bought this to try to maximize my carry on capacity, using this under-seat and my spinner in the overhead. It’s only 4 days, but I have to carry some items with me for our booth. Using packing cubes, I test packed this and it’s gloriously spacious while staying under the height and width needed to put it under the seat. My only concern is it might be a little long. Got a bungee to secure it to my spinner handle. So while the lack of dedicated straps for that is a little annoying, it wasn’t a show stopper. Because I’m in a window seat, I may be able to get away with it being too long and just tuck my feet under it, but I suspect it may not work for an aisle seat or an exit row. I’ll update when I finish my trip. Meanwhile I’ll air tag my spinner in case I have to gate check it.

Great Bag!
Perfect for International travel. Big enough to hold what you need but will still fit in the overhead. Very comfortable.

Unquestionably A+ Design, Build, Quality, Weather!
A+ RecommendedBuy! Note **Bag size Questions; a 15.4” MacBook Pro fits in easily, along with a 12.9” iPadpro, chargers and accessories. I substituted for a Lenovo Yoga 2 in 1, 15.7” with charger brick EASILY! Protected and safe!!!! I rate this an easy A+ buy , so it’s sectioned based on areas of focus potential consumers might be curious about. The Short {Buy or No Buy?} BUY!!! : As a Prof Photog I hammer all my equip., I’m an outdoors/sports photog, I travel trains, planes, and hike. Outside my gear, especially my bags take a beating. If a zipper fails, a pouch tears, a straps breaks, or malfunctions while I’m on a mountain, or on a train, I can lose/break {$500-10$k} of equip’t. I don’t play with cases/packs, hard or soft, and I also carry a mobile office to process on the road, so I demand Specs nearly impossible. Easy Speed Read Simply ****See pics below To determine how much I easily put in this bag, that is tough as nails. Also The , {Theft Deterrent, SUPER HD, Water Resistant, ( nothing IMHO is truly ‘Proof’ as is Theft Proof, but yes it’s design makes it lockable ), is an Excellently organized, Large capacity pack. Verdict JSYK- it’s my AAA+++ recommend, in fact it’s my go to new bag. With multi functionable ways it converts, {converts!!!} for carrying is what seals a 5 star rating. Argue nothing, I tried to make this bag fail, I ‘gorilla’ed’( used very hard), it, I tossed it, Dragged it, pulled it, pushed it,( on mountain rocks, and train stairs, etc; I threw it, I over loaded it, I even purposely caught it on every train ;, seat handle, cargo hook, Metal Piece poking out from wherever, etc I could find, (that’s what is the norm , eventually in my life. And so if it’s gonna fail I NEED TO KNOW RIGHT AWAY, Losing $50-bucks on a backpack, is better than spilling a mobile office of mbpro, a pc 2 in 1, both 15.7” and an iPad pro +++, onto the loading dock of a train, or a snow covered summit! So I stuffed it, and I used it hard, and it is solid, and it performed better than I expected. I accepted I would maybe tears a zipper or a small hook/latch, something. 0 damage - impressive! My pictures are the best way to see the true volume you can easily carry{ I took those when I got the bag, but didn’t post this until I tested it, *I added a pair of Nike sneakers, and 2, (two) camera lenses, a multi tool, a flashlight, and ** I hooked another camera lens pouched, to a shoulder strap, and put an Induro 6’ tripod strapped to one side, and an ultra HD all Steel Dolica Cinema Tri, *With a Massive Pan/Tilt Head and Arm strapped to the other, {The Tri’s are far to big to allow for under seat stow, but I would never carry like that normally: The Induro TWA W/ A Giant Ball head {JUST} makes it in a tight spot needing to have it on the pack. A mono pod would easily stay there. I swapped to back when stowing in overhead, or under my seat. Now as professional, I cannot carry 10 bags, it’s just not feasible. I shoot cinema, and stills, and my cage rig, often, wins out over an extra change of clothes- thats reality in my profession. I Use a backpack getting to locations, it must stow away , to board a plane, also, so I never get separated from my equip, or my mobile office. I travel I in jeans, I wear thin {liner style sweatpants}, so I want NOTHING in my pockets. I utilize a strap/Snap, Multi pocketed hip pouch {* I mention that detail, because I found a very efficient way to attach a few smaller Pouches like that. On my hip with a 2” waste strap once onboard, I stow it like its part of this bag,- Personally, I found that very notable, and hugely convienent. IMPORTANT: Pivot Point: this bag does 1 unique thing very well, it fully converts from a backpack,to a duffel. A two handled (end to end) duffel, A 1 handle side carry duffle, or a end to end Ring Hook strap shoulder carry, BRILLIANTLY. (*It has a HD, zippered flap to stow the entire shoulder harness, and a HD anchored Flap over carabiner to snap down strap, 'hidden flap. This eliminates ‘accessibility’, points from the numerous pouches/zipper slot pouches on the top, back, rear, however you hold it. All sealed with a loop in loop zipper and combo lock to secure all. So here’s my usual list of bullet points: A. Quality : It is A+, super HD, thick (but light), woven encasement. NOT typical nylon pack material thinky padded. This Bag WILL NOT RIP EASY, if at all. B. Design: A+, (Im 6' 270lbs for ref in photos), a well placed creative pouch design allowing max separations, max volume, and great protection from someone slipping a single pouch open, and grabbing your wallet, keys whtvr. The Massive main compartment, and {see pics}, well designed smaller pouche style separations, work perfectly in unison. {Main Bag has a padded separator, **it adds 0 bulk, but helps stabilize the main enclosure. It also allows a stable carrying in 4 diff ways, without stressing the handle, hooks. It’s a brilliant design really. It is a Big Bag when loaded but If your thinking it’s TooBig, don’t! {{ Unless you are very very small frame person, even then a light load can be sured up, and the pack rides light on your shoulders }}. Now; Add the combination lock , typicle loop into loop, twin zipper enclosure, and I was very impressed with the Theft Detterant styling., The flap over snap hook, works great and looks stealthy. C. Weather Resistance: A+, No one can really say PROOF. I put many things to task on ‘proof’, in my own experience, I’ve had ultra expensive , guaranteed proof, completely fail with enough of Mother Nature thrown at them. {When it fails a Guarantee won’t help you, nor will it pay for your loss of functionality.}. This Pack Will HOWEVER SAFELY protect, your computer , tablet, MacBookpro, video gaming system, camera, lens, clothes, phone, wallet, etc., Veru dry in the rain,... YES 100%, Note: {if CLOSED PROPERLY~ which is easy but I add that disclosure}. ** {It’s important that everyone understand the designs of a product they buy,(?IMHO) if you wrap it all up, forcing things to close in a way NOT, meant to ... the chance they will perform is reduced. I review a lot of items, and give real world information, maybe it Sounds simple, But my 'Company' has reviewed 100’s of items, 'myself' personally 1000’s. I get frustrated cuz I always see 1,2 star reviews ( on almost any item), because {and I know this is what happens** they get item, instantly rip it open, grab it, dug in, and had at it}, *B4 spending 3 minutes to review how it functions, via manual or just looking at it. At least that's my opinion. D. FINALLY Size? This 55L, How much does that hold, / Weigh, is it heavy, Heavy Duty?!? What does that really equal as for size, ? Please read this explanation it will help you a lot!!!! Size and Weight go hand in hand, SORT OF.... Most Heavy Duty ‘packs’ are brilliant in 1 specific area of design, simply as a by Product of materials used. They are slim when having an empty/light load, but, they are structurally rigid when loaded to capacity. {They hold there shape stuffed to the zippers!} What they don’t all do, this pack DOES BRILLIANTLY; Equally distributing weight in a linear (not simply gravity driven), way either upright or flat. So you feel exactly what your carrying be it, heavy or light. Instead of always feeling like you are being pulled down and back by your shoulders. WHY, does this matter, obviously because of simple carry weight, but also a safety reason. If YOUR body weight is centered you are sturdy when walking climbing hiking, running to class, CATCHING YOUR BALANCE. If you are'nt you can be fall in diff directions. Possibly and in some, a fall may cause you injury. Long term fatigue on your body and back is brutal, ( ** I used a sling bag for yrs, until I learned I have a rotated vertebrae in my back because of it. Now I'm needing Chiro adjustments monthly!!!!) True, ‘TRUE’ , Pack Weight when full, is the most underestimated factor in comfort and build longevity, by most people. Even a super HD giant bag with shoulder straps, won’t allow you to carry as much as a smaller well designed compartment design bag/pack. WHY DO YOU THINK HIKING GEAR STARTS WITH AN ALUMINUM FRAME? But you cannot in any way, shape, or form, carry those on a plane, it’s not happening! So pack that is merely a huge 65L pack, stuffed with a MacBookpro 15.4”, shoes, 4 days clothes, a docking station, wallet, 10 more accessories IE.: chargers , phones, iPods, iPADS, maybe a , **Tri pod on side, ..... THAT are large compartments, will HANG DOWN! The weight will all slide down, then naturally back behind you. Creating a normal 15lb pack loaded, to become a 27 lb equivalent weight {on your shoulder and back. Forget the hour I can spend on the stress on the pack in the same zone or the 20 other destructive issues. Conclusion: AAA+++ Buy!!! The last is what I put it through in under a week before I’d put my review up. And yes, I strongly believe Simple 1-2-3 star reviews are useless, except to steer you away. A 5 star vs 4. Or 4.5 can allow you to confidently buy an item over a similar one, ESPECIALLY if both items look identical but one saves you $10, $20, sometimes $260 ... even more. The markup in Brand Names, is whatever the market will allow. Trust a 25 yr pro, who’s livekyhood depends on many overlooked accessories, LIKE: the backpack used to lug my mobile office, / Camera Rig, to a location. I may have a simple opinion on what Canera gear to buy to obtain great results, but if you don’t get it where your shooting, or it gets stolen, or damaged by rain, WHATS THE Point POINT!!! Addendum for Researchering Buyers: This Sholuder harness, belt clip style, Back Pack, : * 2 Handle rubber grip end to end lift duffle, Mid bag Single rubber handle side lift carry, OR*****end to end hook and Clip padded strap Shoulder Carry **** also with the front shoulder straps concealeable with a drop down zipper flap. It rolls perfectly up and is held there by velcro/ hook and loop strip, ( ingenious ergonomics), is a phenomenal , multi purpose , versatile Kong lasting Bag, Back Pack. Weather Proof, and Theft Deterrants Built in, easily opened with one hand and the combination to provided lock mechanism. Personally; I’ve already put it through a speed run, plane to fla, plane back to NY, Bus home to Mass, Train back to Upstate NY and again Home to W Mass. ****LOOK AT WHAT I COULD PUT IN THERE, *****AND******, as a back pack the 2-3 small areas of added function shown below, that push this bag to the top. For the $, FORGET IT, I just tossed a $500 pelican hard case carry on, into my closet and this is my everyday mobile office, + camera gear, (I only need add a small camera bag of lenses and accessories / or a large one for a multi assignment trip, adding more clothes into this bag. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too heavy for 4 ⭐️
Strong and good quality. Size is good with adequate pockets. Why 3 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ??? It’s heavy. For me, too heavy for airplane carry on. The straps, flap cover, and padding is the source of weight. Also, there is a cover flap for the shoulder straps. This was not clearly explained. I don’t like additional flaps or covers that I need to role up and store with Velcro. If they removed the flap then 4 ⭐️.
