Can anyone tell me the dimensions of a hinge?

Just to be clear, these are NOT folded in half. They are folded over with a longer tab that goes on the page and a shorter one that goes on the stamps. These are 1/2 inch wide. The longer flap that is intended to go on the album page is about 9/16 of an inch and the shorter tab for the stamp is 1/4 inch. If you are a beginning collector you should be made aware that VALUABLE stamps should be stored in stamp MOUNTS, rather than hinged to an album page. That is because the value of stamps that are hinged is somewhat less than ones that have not been hinged for stamps after 1935 when mounts came into the picture.

which side has the glue?

If you fold the hinge to form a tent, the outside has the glue. One side of the tent sticks to the stamp and the other to the album.

Are the hinges flat and not curled?

The majority of the hinges were severely curled. Adding stamps into your books is supposed to be relaxing and not tedious. I would not buy this product from this company again.
