Doesn’t it feel great when you’re looking for something and you purchased exactly what you were looking for but also exceeded expectations? Well this is it right here. The size and built of this is well made. It functions just like it’s supposed to. It has 3 different sizes spreading sizes for your needs and a close option too to prevent any spillage. It stands upright as it should. It feels comfortable when using. The color and quality of the plastic is nice and sturdy. It’s not a cheap feeling product it’s actually worth it and reasonably priced. It’s so simple to use I didn’t need instructions. I haven’t left anything in it to vouch for the moisture level of your seeds but I will say there wasn’t any problem at all. Nothing got stuck while using it and it spread evenly when I used it. I prefer this over the hand cranking handle. This feels more convenient and not awkward at all especially using one hand and not having to worry if your left or right handed because you just switch hands to give your hand a break and to workout your other hand/arm. Seals shut without any spillage of your seeds. Very pleased with this purchase so worth it.

Very handy for spreading salt or for landscaping with seeds and fertilizer. Feels very well made. I have been using it for two weeks now with rock salt and it really makes salting the ice a breeze and is actually enjoyable to use, I believe this will last a long time. Absolutely recommend it. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Much bigger than I thought it would be, which is not a bad thing if you have a lot of shrubs to do. The adjustable hole size is kind of cheesy, but it works OK. Chunky fertilizer with any moisture will get blocked until you break the chunks up, but a good hard shake usually gets it going. Thankfully the handle hooks easily on the wheelbarrow, because this does not like to stand upright on its own. Not a problem unless it tips and spills somewhere you weren't wanting fertilizer... Would buy again, but this will probably last longer than I will.

Almost perfect. It is the best I have found for hand spreading almost anything. My first spreader was difficult to open and my most recent one is easy. This spreader can be difficult to open and close depending on the size and strength of your hand. This spreader is larger than most and is more durable than all others I have seen. It won't open or break if you drop it. It can be heavy if you fill it completely, but it also holds a lot more than others. It is also the best for using ice melt on stairs. I like the spreader and while recovering from hand surgery I experimented with various ways to open and close it even with a tight lid. What I found to help with limited strength on a tight lid is place the spreader on a flat surface and grip it near the bottom. Instead of using the handle to open the top, I gripped the scoop end. I gripped the bottom with my left hand to open and right hand to close, this allows you to use your thumb strength on the flat side of the base. If you make a "C" with your hand it almost matches the shape of the base and allows the most hand contact.

I bought this to help me spread salt/ice melt on my long driveway and walkway. Short of it is, that it works really well! PROS - It’s bigger than you expect and holds more than you anticipate. - Makes spreading easy, controlled and fast. - Different size openings to accommodate different types of material. - Sturdy and light. CONS - Can be a little difficult to twist open and close. If you’re looking for a good spreader to make your life easier than this is a great buy. Highly recommended.

Does what it is supposed to do. I bought it to salt our walk, not spread seeds. It worked fine but with salt was too heavy for this senior so I got a rolling distributor.

Very well made. This will make all my spreading needs so much easier.
