Excellent product. Worthy of the entire family or for little kids. Very asthetically built and very easy to handle. Can be easily stored in any cupboard or shelf, without consuming extra space. Above all, the idlis were done in no time.

From Hawkins this is a very good IDLI maker especially if you are only one or two people but Two Things - 1. The most bottom plate is unusable since water from top comes down here. It should have been higher or had a greater ground clearance 2. This is Aluminium which is unhealthy to the T when cooking. Aluminum results in aluminium poisoning which is why I expected a brand like this to have the same thing in Stainless steel.
