I purchased a Laptop Caddy from the same seller to install a second hard disk in my laptop and every time I needed to access the hard disk on another computer - I had to remove the hard disk from the caddy and place the hard disk into an external USB HDD enclosure to access the hard disk on another computer.But, by purchasing the above product (good description provided by the seller on Amazon website) - I no longer had to physically remove the hard disk from the Laptop Caddy -- but, I could directly connect the above product to the caddy (SATA end of cable) and the other end (USB end of cable) into another computer so that the Laptop Caddy could be directly accessed by the Desktop Computer or any other Laptop/Desktop which makes the Laptop Caddy very portable across computers.In short, if you want to directly access the Laptop Caddy (with HDD) between multiple computers --- this product is very useful.Kindly note --- the above product will also help you to access a Laptop internal DVD RW/ROM between multiple computers --- either another Laptop or Desktop (in short, it will convert your laptop internal DVD RW into an external DVD RW so that it can be used on any Computer)Only Con about the Product --- Slightly expensive and wish the length of the cable was a little more longer.
