It works well so far so good but you have to do this...
Update: The seller takes long for a refund. Normally it would take 3 days. You can't buy from someone that doesn't work as fast as they did to sell the product to you than to refund it. I have never seen a product take so long. Only one star for bad slow refund services. It is a red flag. I will have to reach out to Amazon but I thought people should know. There was a set back because it didn't connect to my home network. Yes it did stated that it is connected but I couldn't continue the setup process. I remove 2 stars because they take a month to refund the money. So I connect it to my Hotspot on my phone just for the setup process part.I got that idea from LG TVs and their agreement that can't be pull up using a home network. I am a technician so I knew plenty of tricks. After the setup process, I connected to my home network with no problem. Also update update everything, windows, drivers and specially Bios.I am pleased with this Laptop and it works well with my telescope and it's software. I am still doing more test because I need it for astrophotography and a astro processing as well. My concern is the 2 cores processor and the future of PC using 4 cores.I had the choice or this 2 core 4.0ghz with 12gb of RAM or go with the 4 core at 2.79ghz with 8gb of RAM. Am I going to multitask or used power? I need power.

So far, so good - better than my old Win 10 hp
Fast, of course, because it's new. A few disappointments and annoyances, but nothing monumental. The hard internet connection is through a "standard" USB port so you loose one of only 2 of those if you don't want to use wifi. (You may have to buy an internet cable adapter if you don't have a USP end on your cable - $10 from amazon, $20 from a brick and mortar.) You may need a USB extender adapter if you hard connect your printer or you use a remote keyboard/mouse with a USB receiver. There is one USB/c port. No optical drive or dedicated card reader ports. Poor contrast between key color and printed characters - white on grey. Power-on key now on right "hidden" among function keys - a bit of a p.i.t.a. until I stuck some red electrical tape on it Small SSD hard drive (128 GB) supplemented with 512 GB USB flash drive, so there goes one USB port. (Total of .64 TB.) So for speed, more RAM, light weight and slim profile you loose a fair amount of versatility and internal HD space. But I have an external optical drive, multi-card reader, twice the RAM now and a number of flash drives so I'm not going to miss my old laptop, which died on me anyway, too much - other than the software, some of which I've recovered already. As I get used to the new laptop, and keep loading new apps, I probably will come to love it as much as my old one. But right now I really don't. Would I buy it again? Very likely - I like the 15" screen and very packable light weight, the longer lasting battery and the speed. which I will no doubt come to appreciate even more since I am traveling internationally again after nearly a decade of static retirement.
