Excellent
Highly recommend. Very effective way of explaining the ups and downs of life to children in the inimitable Dr. Seuss style. Works for adults too. Very inspiring.

Best book for all age
I am glad i took this book, i love reading it to my kid and kid also loves listening to it. It has catchy images to engage young kids. Content is the best for which I took it. It prepares one to face up and down of life, what to expect and what not. A fantastic one!

Wonderful silly parable
Good for a few hundred readings at different ages.. Beautifully written poetry, bordering on deep prose. Highly recommended for kids from age 2-100

Inspiring message but maybe too abstract for 3-5 years old
This book is highly rated and i love the message it conveys. But designs throughout the book are perhaps too abstract for 3-5 years old in my opinion. My then 29mo old didn't really engage with it because it didn't seem very realistic (rightfully so) and it was also hard for me to read as it's too abstract and hard to explain what it means. There may be other books with bigger messages but with simple designs so the kid can at least interact with the images but not in this case as i said they are too abstract. However, she did show more interest towards it later on and now at 3.2 years old likes to be read the story and has even memorized parts of it. As parents we definitely enjoy reading it to her. There is a page about fun and it depicts a circus with elephants wearing roller blades and holding people up - that's pretty sad and doesn't convey the true message of exploiting animals for fun is actually cruel and shouldn't be encouraged - i found this part really sad. I would recommend this book for over 6 year old kids perhaps those who have started school and are about to begin their life journey and experience disappointment, failure, success etc

A good read for young adults
Awesome book, though would not recommend for young children. It tells the life story maybe kids won't be able to understand it that soon...

One of the best Dr Seuss
Just loved it. This one I got for my elder kids, a preteen and a teen. I wanted to read this out to them because of what it says. Actually gives me goosebumps every time I read it aloud. Very inspiring!

A book that should be enjoyable for everyone has been spoiled by the babyish design
This book is amazing, poetry, story and illustrations alike. However the publisher has designed it tackily and suitable ONLY for children (as though it's academic material). Dr.Suess books are cool collectibles because of the ingenuity of content, it shouldn't be ruined by branding it ONLY for babies.
