Very Nice Warm But Not Hot Heating Pad
I am writing this review for people who like their heating pads to get hot, because if you like a hot heating pad this may not be the one for you.TL;DR - This seems to be perfect for comforting warmth but you will probably want something that gets hotter for people who like hot therapeutic heat. It is overall well made but the different fabric with writing all over the bottom is scratchy against bare skin.I purchased this for my mother who needed a new heating pad to help with her arthritis. Her old one had started to give out - one of those kind you get from Walgreens that are plastic/vinyl with a little cloth cover you put it in. That heating pad gets hot, really too hot for me but she likes it that way. When we decided on this particular heating pad, I did see a few other reviews from people who mentioned that this heating pad did not get hot enough, but since the overwhelming majority of people seemed to think it was awesome we went for it. Unfortunately, within half an hour of getting it first plugged in, my mom had abandoned it and gone back to her old Walgreens pad.I have to say that I too do not think this heating pad gets hot, but it is a nice steady warm temperature that I personally like a lot and prefer. If I were to try to explain the temperature difference between the old vinyl heating pad she had and this new heating pad, I would say that on its highest temp setting, the old one is so hot it's like a freshly drawn bath that is almost too hot to stand, while this new one is more like that same hot bath 5-10 minutes later, it is still nice and warm but you know that in about another 5 or so minutes the water will start getting cold. Obviously, the nice thing about this heating pad is that unlike a bath it will never cool down, so the warmth is nice and consistent the whole time you have it on, but if you like a heating pad that is more like that freshly drawn truly hot bath then this probably isn't the one for you.I think this will be just perfect to curl up on the couch with or have on your lap while you sit at a desk and work (which is what I am doing right now as I write this review) - it is the kind of heating pad that will never get too overbearingly hot so you can just keep it on and not mess with it. I don't think there is really any need to worry about falling asleep with it on and having it burn you either if you were to have it in bed. As I ended up liking this heating pad, I am not going to take away any stars from its rating in this review (for me it is probably more like a 4.5), but if it were just my mom writing this, she probably would have only given this 1 or 2 stars. The only real criticism that I have for myself is that I wish the back/bottom of the heating pad was as soft as the top. This heating pad seems to be quite well made, but on the bottom there is all of this screen printed/painted/embedded writing for instructions and warning info etc, and it is not the same soft fleece like the top, so it is scratchy against your bare legs or arms as you use it. I don't know if they have to have all of this written info painted on the heating pad or not, but it definitely is not the nicest feeling to have it rubbing against your skin as the lettering is somehow a bit raised and has a rough gritty-ish texture. Also, because the fabric on the bottom of the heating pad is somewhat thinner, that side seems to be a bit warmer than the other. This is not that big a deal for me, but if you are thinking about buying this, it is something you may want to keep in mind.Lastly - in the instruction booklet that comes with the heating pad, the heat settings info is incredibly confusing or even screwed up. It makes no sense so someone may want to think about rewriting that. While my mom was not happy with it, overall I am so it is a keeper. Hopefully this review might help people who are looking for a truly hot heating pad though.

It gets nice and HOT!
First thing I loved was that this is a family owned company. They follow up with their customers to ensure quality care.I researched a lot of different heating pads. I had a Sunbeam that just stopped working one day. After doing the research, I settled on this one. The heat setting gets nice and hot. My Sunbeam never got as hot. I loved that it has six different settings and I have never had to go higher than 3. There is a beautiful display that actually lets you see what you are set at. My other heating pad was much smaller and only had red buttons for the level of heat. This heating pad is nice and large. I have it up against a standard back scratcher so you can be the judge. One side is a nice plush Terry cloth, which allows you to use as a moisture heat pad. This heating pad also has a two hour shut off or you can by pass that. The heating pad is also washable, just disconnect the plug from the main adapter and make sure you let it dry out before reconnecting.Overall, I am very pleased with this heating pad. If this company had a shoulder heating pad, I’d be sure to purchase it.

Works great.
I had an old Sunbeam heating pad that I needed to replace. What a difference. This one is soft and comfortable to use whereas the old pad had a vinyl covering with a material case that felt like burlap not to mention the heating element that could be felt through the vinyl. After receiving this, I removed the cord and gave it a quick hand washing and hung it to dry (it's a little unnerving to wash an electrical appliance).I let it dry for three days to make sure it was good and dry.I use it for my back by putting it on my bed and laying on top of it.If used long ways, it's actually long enough to cover my entire back. The material is very soft and comfortable. The first heat setting is perfect for me.I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone in need of a heating pad.The only negatives would be:The plug is a little difficult to remove from the pad because there are two tabs you have to depress while pulling. The other is that it was shipped by Amazon in the original thin and soft cardboard box without even taping the box ends.It could've easily been punctured, torn or opened.

Great great product!
This is the best heating pad I have ever used and I have been through a lot of heating pads. The first two heat settings are more than adequate for aches and sore muscles. The size is perfect for wrapping around your back or legs. The only draw back is if I get up briefly, the dogs jump at the chance to lay on it and are not too sympathetic to relinquishing their spot. I love it so much we bought another one for our RV. Perhaps I need a third for the dogs? The two hour automatic turn off is a must as I have a tendency to walk off and forget about it. I also am pleased to know it is washable unlike others that just have a slip cover. The fabric is pleasing to the touch and does not slip off where you place it. I definitely will recommend it to family and friends.

Stopped Working in Less Than 2 Months
This item stopped working less than 2 months after purchase. Even when it worked, sometimes it would be scorching hot on 1 and barely hot on the highest level. Then I would turn it off and on and 1 wouldn't heat up at all. It really didn't work right from the beginning, but I just dealt with it. Heating pads can often be quirky, in my experience and I often have issues with the heat levels being wacky. However, once I got the dreaded flashing "F", and no amount of unplugging, waiting, and plugging back in would make it turn on, I reached out to the company. I gave them a week to respond, and when I didn't hear from them, I tried again. I never got a response. Fortunately, after I called Amazon they allowed me to return it for a refund.I always like to give a company a chance to rectify a problem before leaving a bad review. Unfortunately, after two attempts in two weeks and never hearing back, I guess they don't care about customer service.
