My sister recently purchased a Genie cat litter disposal can and bags and was raving about what a wonderful innovation it is. I also have cats. so I looked into it. Although I am sure it is a good product, I was put off by the price of their bags. It is probably great for indoor litter boxes to control odor, but I keep my litter box on the outdoor covered lanai near the cat door, so odor isn't really an issue. I did like the idea of having a trash can with a lid since I am using a can without one, and I wanted a small, rectangular can for the allotted space. This can not only has a lid, they make trash bags to fit it with a drawstring (seldom found in such small bags) which will make removing the waste so much easier and less messy. And since they are only trash bags and not part of a fancy ring-top system, they are a good bit less expensive and can also be used in my bathroom trash can. I have a Simple Human trash can in my kitchen and think it is well-made, and so is this little gem. Plus, the lid stays open so you can scoop clumps easily, and it has a wide opening (unlike the Genie can) so spillage is not a problem. I know this can wasn't designed for use as a cat litter disposer, but it works just fine for me! A year has passed and my little can is still working well. I ordered a second one recently because I got a second cat and second litter box. I saw a review that said the new version doesn't have a removable liner, but I decided that this isn't a problem since I use the disposal bags that fit this can for easier and cleaner litter disposal anyway. And with the removable liner gone, the can holds more capacity, so I think it is actually a good thing. So my recommendation is to buy this can and also purchase the disposable bags that fit it and you will always have a clean trash can that works well.

I was a bit nervous buying this trash can due to some of the reviews that I read, but it is the perfect trash can that I needed for a compost bin to live on my kitchen counter! I had spent a ton of time looking around for various solutions for compost, and for some darn reason, it has just been SO difficult to find a good 3gal trash can that works with the standard 3gal compost trash bags that almost every store sells in my area (Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Costco, grocery stores, etc). And, the dumb thing is, none of these places have a solid 3gal trash can that doesn't cost a fortune ($20+... FOR TRASH CAN!!!). For the folks who complain about how you have to buy "special" trash bags for this can -- it is not necessary. Just grab 3gal trash can liners (any kind!), and they work fine with this trash can. And to address the tipping over situation -- sure, it's a thing. If you use this can as a step-on can as intended, it's not great and tips over. However, I have this on my kitchen counter and I use my hands to operate and open the can, and works great!!! The best part of this trash can is the price is right, the trash can keeps the odors in, and the slim design is fantastic for fitting it almost anywhere for your needs! I've been so pleasantly surprised by the quality of this trash can. Cheers!

I expected something more substantial feeling considering the brand name and my prior experiences with larger containers. The can does not have a soft slow close - it springs open and shut. While lightweight can be nice, this container is a little too light and will move easily out of position. Overall the small container is right for the four places I am using one and I wanted white; there weren't many options. I was out of time to look for alternatives so I will keep these containers and give them 4 stars because they are fine; they just didn't meet my expectations.

I love this trash can. It has a cute design and is a perfect size for those out of the way places, under a desk or next to a toilet in the bathroom. I've actually bought 3 of them to put in different rooms of my house. The lid works well and the matching trash bags are thick and are an exact fit. It's also easy to clean. I don't use the foot pedal, but instead just lift it with my hand. If the can isn't partially loaded with trash, pushing the pedal can knock the can over. I use two of the cans for litter box waste, instead of the pricey "Litter Genie". Although my cats don't have super stinky poop, this trash can works equally well as the "Litter Genie" and for a lot less money. The trash bags are also much cheaper for them. I have found that even with a nearly full can of cat litter clumps, there is only odor when I open the lid. Great little trash can for all over the house!

I ordered this for my at home office as we are all working from home at this time. I wanted a reasonably priced garbage could hold random office trash (scrap paper, kleenex, candy wrappers). I also wanted a lid because of the snacks. I do not generally throw food in the office trash, but will throw away little snack wrappers. I have carpet, so I wasn't sure of using the foot step to open the lid. This works great for all of the above! It is a decent size, so I only have to empty about once a week, but small enough that it fits under my desk and is out of the way. It is very sturdy and a great value for the price!

This is the perfect bathroom trash can ... so perfect we have 3 of them. It’s absolutely ideal for small spaces. It will fit beside the commode, even if your toilet is in a tight space. The foot pedal is easy to operate and sturdy. Love that this has a lid — a must-have for trash can in a hone with septic tank. Only human waste and toilet paper can be flushed, and this was recommended to us bc the lid encourages guests to follow this rule and not flush sanitary products or other non-flushable items. The only drawback is that this takes a specific (small) trash can liner, which is more expensive than the 13 gallon trash bags I use in the kitchen. But overall, still worth it.

J'ai tellement aimé cette poubelle que j'en suis à ma 4e. J'en offre et j'en mets aux 4 coins de la maison. Cette poubelle est très solide, design, commode. La pédale ne vous lâchera pas, le plastique est épais et de bonne qualité. Cette marque est très sérieuse et de très belle facture.

I already had one of these and bought another one. Used in a bathroom so it being narrow works very well. I also prefer the plastic because if the lid hits the wall, it is much quieter than the metal cans. Simple human have great quality and design

Lovely slim line bin suitable as little kitchen bin or even a bathroom bin. Good quality, strong pedal for lifting lid not like the flimsy ones that feel like they will break every time you use it. Get the bin bags that go with it, fit perfectly and good strong bags with drawstring!

Lo uso para el desecho organico, es perfecto, se abre mediante el pedal y se abre completamente, la tapa se queda vertical, al ser extrecho entra perfectamente en un rincón de la cocina y al ser alto entra bastante desecho.
