humm as you wonder, is it really worth heck if i know 🤓 the only reason i got this because it matches with my m1 and at one time was promoted by apple themselves as a reliable solution for all you docking devices. good sleek design made out of lightweight aluminium, gets hot but nothing to be concerned about it’s all okay. i did checked the speed for data transfer its quite reliable, mind you your other peripherals should be used wisely ( as in suitable data cable, fast transfer support on your ssd etc. ) also it drains a good amount of power so better use with PD if you plan to use it for long, otherwise for quick usage it’s no need your Lappy will be sufficient. this one is the V2 model if you could find V3 that’s a sweet option too since that has 3 USB C ports instead of USB As and also braided cable too. surely this has a USB C but it’s only for PD, no other use case. haven’t checked the HDMI yet nor the ether net but am sure it must works okay, SD is good its puny and easy to carry but it needed braided cable for extra strength. i don’t know how’s the warranty coverage for this in india but in US buyers had better experience, again am not sure about it but hope it will last a while. is it worth the money i cant answer that for you, for me it is in a way since i had different priorities.

The hub is quite good as it offers 3 usb 3.0, 1 high speed hdmi, 1GbE and 1PD. The only issue is that the cable connecting the hub to the MacBook is quite short in length, which makes it quite awkward to position the hub especially if you’re using a stand.

The adapter works well, but the package was open and the adapter had already been used by someone else.

After receiving the product immediately connected for data transfer from my laptop to External Harddisk (USB A Ports) for the first 5 mins it is fine and smooth after 5 mins it's disconnected and started misbehaving. Connecting and keep disconnecting on its own. I connected it to thunderbolt 4 ports only. First I thought there may be problem with the ports on laptop. So, Checked with remaining USB C ports on laptop and the same issue has been repeated. So, checked with other laptop and by changing cables also still same issue is repeated. Immediately requested the amazon customer care for return and replacement of product and waiting for the replacement product.

This is a good product to use for 2-3 months. After that it begins to give problems like frequent disconnection. Its not as durable as it seems in the picture. Memory cards are not read at all after 2 months of use.

Seriously, don't buy this product at all (unless you have 12k lying around which you want to waste anyway). This device looks very premium in images but in reality it doesn't. It just feels like regular plastic hub. Anyways the main purpose for a hub is to transfer files, right? Well... it did that for quite a while and now it doesn't (2 months to be exact). My iPad stop recognizing it. I mean a 500 buck USB-C to USB-3.1 is doing fine and this good for nothing product is out of his job. And the plus point, there is no customer service in India. Well done Satechi! Now all your money is gone forever. Please note that Satechi has no service centers in India. If you really want be disappointed go ahead and buy this. Wish we could give negative ratings too!

The item does not work with 4k 60Hz display after using for a few days. Further, there is no physical service center for Satechi products in India, so it's really difficult to get it replaced. Do not buy it.

Does not work with MBP 16". Let me know if there is a workaround, I have tried whatever is available on google.

J’ai utilisé des Hub USB-C de différentes marques et c’est le modèle de satechi qui fonctionne le mieux. En HDMI 4K 60Hz l’image est stable durant de longues sessions de travail. Et je peux même utiliser une rallonge usb-c pour un rangement des cables à la péripherie de l’espace de travail.

The product was shipped quickly and the overall product is Very Good . Works very good wit the Mac. I feel the price is a little bit High.

Build is premium and durable. Cable is slightly rigid but module works fine. Heats up on short use. There are more economic options that work equally well.

En resumen me ha gustado mucho. Voy a empezar con su diseño. El cual es de aluminio y con un tacto muy parecido a un portátil de apple. Gracias al aluminio el calor se disipa mejor y no se calienta en exceso. En cuanto a sus conexiones disponibles, me parecen todas un acierto. Puedes tener el hub conectado al portátil y mientras cargarlo con la conexión tipo c que lleva en el lateral derecho. En ese mismo lateral tenemos la conexión de cable de red, la cual soporta hasta 1000 Mbps por segundo. En otro de sus laterales disponemos de 3 puertos USB 3.0 y una conexión Hdmi, la cual admite hasta resolución 4K (30Hz). No lo he probado en 4k, pero en full hd 144hz si y funciona de maravilla. En el último lateral tenemos el led que nos indica que está conectado. Una conexión de tarjetas de memoria micro sd y otra SD normal. (velocidad de 80Mbps, Foto adjunta). En definitiva. Es bonito a la vista, al tacto y combina muy bien con el portátil. Su uso en un portátil de Xiaomi notebook pro ha sido satisfactorio. En apple será igual. Con lo cual, recomiendo su compra.
