These are extremely cheap and poorly made
The leads ripped out easily without even moving the battery pack much. Good thing there are multiple ones but you better treat these like they are delicate flowers.

Junk. Red wires break off almost immediately.
AVOID: I volunteer in a class in which we use BBC micro:bit computer boards with middle-school kids. The teacher bought these battery holders to replace the original holders that came in the micro:bit packages. They lacked an on-off switch, so these looked attractive. They don't last. In almost every one the red wire breaks off an internal solder connection. I have repaired dozens of these switched battery packs. We'll go back to the original packs and have students remove a battery at the end of class. Students NEVER detach the battery packs--either type--from their micro: bit boards, so it's nothing the kids do that breaks off the read wire. Poor manufacturing, cheap design, no quality control.

Great battery pack, on off switch and cheap
If you buy this kind of battery pack online at hobbyist stores, you can't get them this cheap even if you buy 100 or more. It's a 2 battery pack with the kind of jack BBCMicro kits use. Unlike some other battery packs, these have on-off switches on them, which saves you from pulling the plug in case your experimental board doesn't have an on-off switch of its own.

Battery holders
A toy I purchased for my grandson would not work so I switched the batteries and it still would not work. My husband took it apart and we discovered the battery holder was carroted. My husband changed out the holder for one I purchase, inserted the batteries and walla the toy worked. Easy to work with and small. There is nothing sheer about it and it is not thick but it is a small box that houses 3 AAA batteries.
