Lots of Fun for the Money
You should not be disappointed with this virtual reality headset if you manage your expectations. If you are looking for the utmost in virtual reality you will pay $400, $500, or even more for the latest and greatest VR gear and you will still need to pair it to a high end computer that has a substantial video card. Realistically, if starting from scratch you would easily end up paying several thousand dollars for the ultimate virtual reality getaway. In this price range this is a nice little set up. First of all it has no electronics whatsoever. It is basically a beefed up 3D viewer like you had when you’re a kid. Your phone is what does all the work. You download an app, start it up and place it in your virtual reality viewer and then have fun.The gyroscope on you phone is what helps you look and/or move around in the app. Better apps control movement and settings by focusing a dot on an area to make a selection. With that said, I was already familiar with these types of virtual reality viewers when I bought this as a gift. When it arrived I noticed the build on the HAMSWAN is actually a lot nicer than the one I had previously. The HAMSWAN also has built in headphones and a touch screen button that the one I had previously did not.Since there are no built-in electronics this was pretty much ready to go as soon as I pulled it out of the box. I did look for a recommended app in the owner's manual and there was none. There were also two QR codes on the box which only took me to a Facebook page and Instagram. I ended up downloading a couple free virtual reality apps off of iTunes. (Jurassic VR was pretty fun.)With the app up and running you open the front panel, plug in the built-in audio cord if desired, and then place the phone (I used an iPhone 6s) in the viewer so that it is centered and then close the front panel. Once you have adjusted the headset band and put it on (yes you will look geeky) you then adjust the pupil distance (0-0) using the middle slider. You then adjust the focus for both left and right eyes using the front mounted focus sliders. (Can be used while wearing glasses.)And if there is audio you can adjust the volume, pause, or skip to the next track or back using the 3 buttons on the bottom left side of the headset. There is also a button on the bottom right side of the viewer that moves an arm that presses your touch screen. I am assuming this is used in some apps but none of the ones I have downloaded so far worked with this feature. After this you are ready to have some fun. I was kind of surprised at how comfortable this headset was, even while wearing glasses. The headset was also comfortable on the ears and sounded very good. (There is a microphone also, but I have not used that yet.) The only issue I had was I was never able to get the picture 100% focused. I'm not going to ding this product as my eyesight is not perfect and it might just be my old tired eyes. The virtual reality experience varied depending on the app. Some were horrible, some were quite fun. Heck, I even felt a little queasy when viewing a roller-coaster simulator. My neighbor came over and tried it also and he had a blast.Bottom line this virtual reality viewer is lots of fun, especially for the money. Kids will have a blast and after experiencing virtual reality adults may find they want to shell a few thousand dollars and go the next level.I hope this review helps. If you have questions let me know and l'll answer (with what I know) as quickly as possible.

Good for first time VR users
For the price, they were all right. The head strap always stayed a little too high so it never felt secure. The audio from the included headphones was good and the VR piece held my phone securely. Looking closer, it looks like it can be used for most phone sizes, which is convenient. It was a good purchase considering this was my first VR experience.

Great quality for the price!!
The most amazing thing about this product is the price point it is sold vs the quality it delivers. I am actually a bit skeptical while ordering but the once the product arrived it is comfortable to wear, quality of virtual view is really good. I would recommend this product who is looking for a good VR expensive without digging a hole in their pocket.

Works perfectly for entry-level VR
I bought this entry-level VR and have used it for a week. It works perfectly with my iPhone 8 Plus. The VR games are clear and the VR experience is excellent. Also this is an affordable device.

My oldest daughter (12) bought this and the kids really like it. It hasn’t broken yet and always seems to work for their virtual needs.
