The BougeRV Camping Light is perhaps the most versatile auxiliary camping light I have ever purchase. I say auxiliary light because I use bigger, more powerful battery lights as my main lighting. What I wanted this lamp for, is as a final light before going to bed. I position the light close to the bedroom door, and set it to the red light option. This allows me to turn off all the main lights, then go to bed, and the BougeRV Light will eventually turn itself off. Then, if I need to get up through the night, the motion sensor will turn the lamp back on, giving me ample time and illumination, to turn one of the main lights back on. Combine that with the three mounting options of ceiling hook, clip, or magnetic, and you end up with just about the most perfect camping lamp on the market. The other lighting options are daylight and warm. The advertising says 6x 8-hour nights on the dimmest light setting. Well Whoop-dee-doo, but the dimmest light setting really would be dim even in a small two-person tent. In a family tent like mine, it is useless. The brightest setting is! useful however. All the light temperatures seem to have been chosen as a compromise between colour tint and illumination level. The red for example, is very night-vision friendly, but it is more of a car brake light red, than a deep red that would not travel as far. It's a very good compromise, as the red light on it's brightest setting, is a proper room-filling light, that is very easy on the eyes. On the brightest setting, I get three hours from the BougeRV light. Which again, is why I refer to it as auxiliary lighting. But it is perfect for things like navigating to a toilet/shower block, using the red light, so as not to annoy fellow campers with a torch beam. Then once you get to the shower room, if the lights are on those awful push-button timers, you can just take the lamp in to the shower with you, and not have to worry about the room lights timing out. The possible uses are huge. The build quality is excellent, and the motion sensor works well. Although I would say the non-sale price is a little high. If you can get one of these for around £30, I do not think you would feel robbed, once you feel the tank-like build quality. If you are unfamiliar with BougeRV, I would certainly recommend a visit to their Amazon Store. Just be aware that Amazon do not stock the full range of products that the company sells, and a visit to their website is worth it, if only to see the smallest, cutest camping air conditioners on the planet. But if all you are looking for is a very well made camping lamp, with multiple features, this one is highly recommended.

Be aware that the sensor only senses movement, not light, so it will come on during the day if it senses movement. That said, the battery lasts a couple of weeks on our boat inside the rear ‘pram’ cover, with us in and out of the boat during the day and in the evening. It’s well made, and can be hung up or attached by its magnet to a ferrous surface.

Strong light and It takes long time until the battery is dead. I just ordered another one.

Just got this hence the 4 star rating, because I've not had a chance to test the battery life yet. It is small but it kicks out a lot of light on full power. 2 things I want to address that some folks have mentioned issues with. The sensor button has 2 functions. When the light is on, a short press activates the motion sensor, and a small blue light on the button indicates the sensor is on and activated. A long press activates the strobe. A few have mentioned its frustrating that you need to hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the light on. This is a feature on decent camping lights because it avoids accidentally turning the light on and nailing the battery when not in use. I've had a few lights that have been dead when I've taken them out to use them because they've turned themselves on while packed in a bag, which is a real pain when you're out and have no means of charging. I don't write reviews that often but this deserves it. Its a great little light.

Absolutely brilliant light. Being a carp angler I have way too many rechargable lights over the years but these are ACE. All the features are relevant linier brightness control in red mode also. The feature that these have but not listed is a direct to red feature so onec set the PIR (that works realy well) brings the light on at the setting and color you had it set on previously, YOU REALY DONT NEED A REMOTE CONTROL. These lights are at a grate price piont with a sprung mounting clip, metal Loop and a small carabina in Carpy green or black. I will be bying a couple more.

It’s small and perfect with huge impact

Solidly built, great form factor, very bright and excellent battery life. There's much to like about this little light that packs a radiant punch. It's so versatile as to its use cases and the motion sensor works perfectly. I use it in my closets since they don't have their own lighting, but honestly they can be used absolutely anywhere (indoors) extra visibility is required. I bought 3 and will be buying more when they go back on sale! You won't regret getting these handy little buggers!

awesome product and good quality- you can vary the level of light from white- yellow - red, it has IR/motion capability also - can be placed on items by hook or strong magnet - good for camping, working around the house or vehicle, im going to try hunting with it at night turn on the redlight and set the motion detector and place it on the feeder

Seems vey well made. Fairly bright usable light. I like the motion sensor option which is sensitive. You can select a yellow to white light. I do wish there was one setting the was a tad bit less yellow before the bright white, but that is preference. There is also red. Many ways to hang it or set it on a surface. Magnet is just about right strength. I will probably get another. Came with nearly no charge not enough to run it. Took a while to fully charge. Used it as a night light with motion sensor turned on as soon as I started to get up for a drink.
