Works great for lap swim
I really like this product for my lap swims. It is easy to use, stays on well, and works great. I have never used a snorkel before but when I went back to swimming for exercise I didn't want to have as much pool water in my mouth so I tried this. I did purchase the speedo nose clips to use with it too and, although the clips are a little tight (i get a break from them when kickboarding which is enough of a break), I think the combination works great together. I do find that I have to work harder in my workout because the snorkel makes swimming very easy. It takes a lot more energy to turn the head for a breath than it does using the snorkel. Unless there's a defect in the product that you receive or you're new to swimming, there's no reason you couldn't use it within 1 minute of putting it on. Although I haven't tried it with a flip turn yet.

Great product, but won’t last
I’ve had my front snorkel for a few years now, and when I got it out, I noticed the plastic portion of the snorkel is super sticky and it won’t come off. No other plastic was connecting it, it has been in my swimming bag dry for a couple of years without use. Do not buy this product if you want something lasting! To sticky and toxic to use. Can’t get the stickiness off my hands!

Comfortable and Functional
This swim snorkel is the best one I've ever had. I wear it over a snorkeling mask (the kind that covers up your nose, too) and the snorkel fits over the mask with no problems. I like that the swim snorkel goes straight up between my eyes over my head. The kind that goes to the side of your head are hard for me to adjust, so this one has really simplified things. You don't have to attach it to the mask. It is totally separate, which I like. No getting the snorkel twisted with the mask straps. The snorkel is plenty long, so whether I look straight ahead as to swim, or look directly down, no water enters the snorkel. The mouthpiece is small enough that it doesn't invoke a gag reflex, so that's a real bonus. I adapted to it quicker than any other snorkel I've ever had, so I definitely recommend this one.

I really like this snorkel
I got tired of wearing a mask in order to swim with a snorkel, plus I hated the way the side-mounted snorkel rubbed against my upper arm on every stroke. I thought I'd give this a try and I'm glad I did. It works great with a normal pair of goggles and doesn't pull on the side of my mouth the way a conventional snorkel does. The mouthpiece is soft and fits my smallish mouth very comfortably. The purge valve is a nice feature since when you swim for an hour with a snorkel, with your face always down and your mouth open, spit tends to collect in the curve in front of the mouthpiece. You'll probably want to use nose plugs with this, though.

What a difference!
I'm not much of a swimmer but needed to find a non-weight bearing exercise. Usually, my floundering leaves me discouraged and bored before I get a few laps in. With this snorkel, a nose clip, goggles and swim fins I am good to go. No more awkward moves to get some air. No neck cricks. I don't do flip turns so I can't attest to the ease of clearing the snorkel but I am very pleased. Makes doing laps so much easier.

Comfortable. Clears easy. Makes swimming so enjoyable again!
I am 43 years old and was a lifeguard in my 20's. My apartment building has a lap pool and I was missing swimming again however I've gained a lot of muscle in my upper body and have huge shoulders. I found this making coming up for a breath tough on my neck. Then I discovered this thing called a swimmers snorkel. I bought this one and coupled it with some googles, ear plugs, nose clip and a Speedo buoy for between the thighs. Those were the 50 most enjoyable laps in my life tonight. The snorkel is comfortable, clears very easy, and doesn't taste like plastic chemicals. I've reading reviews saying it takes a while to get used to my i found it immediately good to go.
