Vino Vault Wine Game - Wine Puzzle

Bought as a gift and it served its purpose well, the puzzle is easy to set (after first time following the instructions you learn), but once you crack it if you are not holding carefully wine and pieces will go everywhere. Be aware of the MAX bottle dimensions so you don't get frustrated if you already have a wine bottle in mind. The plastic on the outside feels a little cheap( minus 1 star), but it has a nice look. Its a nice entertaining puzzle to break the routine of wine fans.

My husband and I absolutely loved this product! I used it to secure some wine as a gift for my husband. The vault holds several different sizes of wine bottles and the combination was easy to set, although you do need to take the device apart to set the password. Once the bottle was secure with the password set, I placed it in the fridge and waited for my husband to come home. While it is true that the plastic gears could deteriorate over time, I think it is a wonderful gift idea that could be reused many times before that became an issue. I would definitely purchase this product again rather than just a boring gift bag.

It came pretty fast and it's easy to figure out how to set a password with the directions they give you. Such a cool present. The only problem I have, and it may have said in the description, is the wine bottle was too tall to fit inside. I had to put something else inside of it and put the wine bottle to the side to give to them. Kind of sucks but I probably should have read the description. This person still loves puzzles so I'm sure they'll be happy with it. The product is also plastic in case anyone's not sure. Just make sure to check the description and don't make the mistake I did!

These cryptex vaults are so much fun! Setting the code is easy and coming up with the clues for others to solve it is half the fun. I got a couple of these. The first was solved by answering a simple riddle: what runs but never walks, babbles but never talks, has a bed but doesn't sleep, has a mouth but doesn't eat... give up? R-I-V-E-R was the code to open the vault :D. For the other I had the recipient complete a scavenger hunt which revealed the letters. And, you can regift them without guilt!! :PThe only problem with these wine vaults is finding a bottle that fits, but they provide a template that you can take with you to the store to help.Definitely recommend!

This is a very cool idea, but I wish the puzzle was a bit more sturdy. The whole unit is made of plastic, and it was hard for me to make the tumblers turn to unlock unless I held the top down while turning them. Resetting the combination is easy to understand, but the rings will come off completely and it can be hard to get them all back on in the correct order to make it work.I decided to return mine, as it just didn't work smoothly enough and does not seem like it will last very long.6/12/17 Update - I received an email from the vendor saying that I would only get 50% credit because the unit was locked. Apparently even they can't open it if they don't know the combination.

This is a great gift for someone that likes cypher's and puzzles! I plan to make it quite a bit harder for my brother by making a puzzle for him to figure out the letters to spell the word in the first place. my one complaint is that its made of plastic and doesn't feel very solid. if it was twice as much money and was made of metal and more solid i'd buy the more solid version

Purchased this as a gag gift for my sister-in-law. I thought it was made of metal when i bought it but didn't read the description as I should have. Although it is plastic, it held up very well. Great form of entertainment watching her try to figure out the word we set up.

This was certainly a hit for a wine group birthday party!! The only thing that would make this product better is if it was made of metal vs plastic. All in all though a great laugh and the password can be reset and re-gifted for continued fun.
