Lock & Lock Water Jug with Flip Top Lid, Polypropylene, Small, 8-1/2-Cup

Searching for a replacement for my old Rubbermaid half gallon pitcher, which I loved, I found the newly designed model not to my liking. I have many Lock and Lock containers and when I saw this little beauty, I knew it was the right choice for my sweet iced tea. When received, looking at it, I questioned if it would indeed hold two quarts/half gallon, but it does with a little space left at the top. The tea does not stain Lock and Lock as it does most other plastics. I gave the question regarding leaking four stars because it will leak at the spout if one does not hold the spout cover tight when shaking the tea to distribute the sugar before pouring. There are no other problems with leaking. It fit nicely in the top shelf of my fridge door. Just the perfect size for this great-grandmother to manage when full. Its not too heavy as is a glass half gallon pitcher of tea or juice,

These are excellent. We bought two of the 2L size and they're perfect for reconstituting juice from frozen cans. Once the 3 cans of water are added the level is still about 2" shy of the lip, which makes stirring to melt the ice a painless operation. Our lids seal very tightly. Prior to pouring orange juice i always shake the container to mix up the pulp and nothing spills out. Likewise, pouring is a spill/dripless operation. You can write on their sides with a dry erase marker and it wipes off cleanly. This is excellent for labeling as to what type of juice is inside. The price i paid was only $13 from a 3rd party amazon seller, JJHobbyMall. I'd definitely buy more at that price, however i'd be more hesitant at the current $20 price point. They're nice, but in my opinion they're not worth quite that much. Edit: We've had these containers for about a year and half now so i thought it'd be a good time to supply an update. I was initially worried that the rubber gasket that seals around where the lid meets the container would dry up and crack over time, but thankfully this has not been the case. However, i do avoid putting it in the dishwasher due to this fear. Regardless, with only handwashes the container is as good as new. We're happy we purchased this brand and we'd gladly do so again if this one ever did wear out.

2 liters (2.2 quarts approx.) pitcher of diminutive size, aesthetically unimaginative, but very practical. Fits well perpendicularly in a fridge door shelf that may hold gallon-size milk jugs. You can store three of these pitcher with some room to spare where 2 each gallon jugs would fit. The lid, when latched, is tight and does not leak when tilted. The latch is easy to operate. Pitcher will hold boiling water poured into it without damage.

It is a basic pitcher and is a good size while not being too big. I wanted a decent size pitcher but nothing too large and this was perfect. The shape makes it fit very nicely in the fridge. It's a good value for the money.

I love these. They are perfect. The seal removes easily to put in the dishwasher & its also easy to put back on. The actual seal part is good, but if you're gonna shake it you must hold down the spout part. It doesn't exacty 'lock'. (or t least mine dont, now, after MANY uses). But if you hold it down it wont spill then you shake the juice. I have bought 2 of these & they are great. I will keep buying these in future if these break or something. Also i like that it holds 2L. It has the ml measurements on the side. Ah....mine were specifically made in korea & vietnam, if that is important.

IT leaks terribly. The backside of the lid near the handle doesn't just leak it pours out... Worst product that I have ever bought that was called Lock and Lock. Less than a 1/4 star rating is all I am giving this if I could.

This is a nice pitcher but way overpriced in my opinion. I ordered it and kept it because the size was perfect for what I needed it for. The design fits perfectly in the space I need it to be in so for that reason only I bought it. I have several other jugs that I only paid $3.00 a pc for that work wonderfully but do no fit where I need them to fit. This is a nice jug, but as I said, it is way overpriced for what you get.

I didn't really expect much from the pitcher as it was so inexpensive. I figured there would be small leaks but nothing to freak out about. WRONG! This pitcher is fantastic. After I washed it I filled it with cold water and dropped it in the sink. No leaks or spills. Then I realised I need to mop the floor (if it spilled it wouldn't be a big deal) so I dropped the full pitcher on the floor. Still not a drop leaked/spilled. Then the biggest test. I hate when I have juice and it starts to take on the smells of the food in the fridge. I put a jug of crystal light in the fridge and left it for a week. That stuff tasted just as good as the first day I made it. The pitcher is awesome and worth double the price spent. (Although I'm glad I didn't have to spend double!)

Recién la recibí hoy y estoy muy contento con la jarra. Queda muy bien en la puerta de mi frigobar. La tapa tiene empaque de plástico por dentro para evitar derrames al servirte. Además de quedar bien segura con las pestañas de los lados. La boquilla funciona bien, no chorrea de forma inesperada ni cosas así. El precio es algo elevado, pero el producto es justo lo que esperaba.

Materiale di qualità, capienza perfetta, pensavo fosse troppo grande, invece sta perfettamente nel frigorifero. Spedizione più veloce del previsto.

Außerdem stelle ich Bilder verschiedener Ansichtsweisen und eventuell auch von Zubehör bereit, damit sie sich ein noch besseres Gesamtbild des Artikels machen können. Da ich mein Wasser gerne eiskalt genieße, mein Wasserhahn (Altbau) aber leider kein wirklich kaltes Wasser hergibt, bin ich schon seit einiger Zeit auf Wasserkrüge, welche ich im Kühlschrank lagere, umgestiegen. Da mein letztes Modell aufgrund von intensiver Nutzung kaputt ging, musste eine Alternative her. Ich habe mir aufgrund des attraktiven Angebotes direkt zwei Stück bestellt. --------------------------------------------------------- ❷ Verarbeitung und Aussehen --------------------------------------------------------- Die Saftkannen sind in einwandfreiem Zustand und sehr sauber verarbeitet. Sie bestehen aus BPA-freiem, durchsichtigem Plastik. Der Deckel ist, nicht wie auf den Produktbildern durchgehend blau, sondern hat lediglich einen blauen Gummidichtring. Ebenso ist dieser sehr gut verarbeitet und passt ohne Wenn-und-Aber auf die Saftkanne. ------------------------------------------------------------ ❸ Gebrauch und Nutzen ------------------------------------------------------------ Wie bereits erwähnt habe ich gleich zwei dieser Kannen bestellt, somit kann ich immer eine benutzen, während die andere, gefüllt mit Wasser, im Kühlschrank abkühlen kann. Erstmal ausgepackt, habe ich die Etiketten von den Saftkannen entfernt. Diese lassen sich ohne Mühen abziehen und hinterlassen keine Spuren. Einer der beiden Kannen hatte bei mir einen oberflächlichen Kratzer, welcher leider gut sichtbar ist. Dieser beeinträchtigt nicht die Verwendung, sollte aber trotzdem nicht vorkommen. Vor der ersten Verwendung habe ich beide Kannen in den Geschirrspüler gestellt und bei 60°C gewaschen. Da die Kannen sowohl für die Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle und den Gefrierschrank geeignet sind, stellt dies kein Problem dar. Jedoch kann ich mir vorstellen, dass der Dichtgummi bei oftmaligem heißen waschen brüchig werden kann und vielleicht dann nicht mehr 100% dicht hält. Nachdem die Kannen getrocknet waren, habe ich beide mit Wasser gefüllt und den 'Dichtheitstest' gemacht. Dazu habe ich die Kannen eine Stunde lang auf ein Küchentuch, mit dem Kopf nach unten, gestellt. Dabei trat bei mir kein einzige kleiner Tropfen Wasser aus dem Kannen aus. Somit kann (ich für mich persönlich) behaupte, dass die Kannen 100% dicht sind. Sollte dies bei Ihnen nicht so sein, so empfehle ich Ihnen, diese austauschen zu lassen. Alles in Allem überzeugen mich die Kannen mit dem großen Füllvolumen von zwei Litern, sowie dem verschließbaren Deckel, welcher für ungestörten Genuss seines Inneren, auch über einen längeren Zeitraum der Lagerung z.B.: im Kühlschrank, sicherstellen soll. -------------------------------------------------------- ❹ Resümee und Kurzbewertung -------------------------------------------------------- Für all jene, die sich die längere Ausführung der Rezension nicht durchlesen wollen, fasse ich hier, kurz und bündig, alle wichtigen Eckdaten des Produktes und des Zubehörs in der jeweiligen Kategorie zusammen. Perfect in gebruik voor mij. Geen echte opmerkingen ware het niet dat ik eigenlijk een container van dit soort in 3l zocht. NB. Ik gebruik hem om soep in te vervoeren/ in te vriezen, lukt perfect.
