Love this book!
The first time I read this book to my granddaughter, who was about a month old, I couldn't get through the book because I was crying too much. It's a wonderful book that helps us realize how much we gain by letting them grow - how much more we get to share with them and see them develop into, even though we long so very much just to hold them in our arms are keep them little where we can protect them, and love them, and care for them, and hold them always. Bought this for my oldest granddaughter....an my first great grandchild. Let's see if she can make it through the book without crying when he's about 2 months old!

Warning: tear jerker!
This is such a good book with a great message, but I'm warning those who easily cry that I do tear up almost every time I read this! I bought this for my daughter's fifth birthday and wasn't sure if it was age appropriate. I thought maybe she'd think it was too babyish but it was perfect! Now that she has started school so many of the older situations in the book are applying to her. It helps her realize that the emotions she is going through are normal (as well as mommy's) and she always reassures me she will always be my baby:)

So sweet!
Love this book, bought it for my 6 year old and it made me cry reading it to her! So many pages of sweet words that describe how moms feel when torn between seeing their babies grow up while loving the person they are becoming and seeing them change!

Love This Book
I read this book to my daughter every night and we both love it. She almost 3 soon and time flies so fast that this book reminds me to always slow down and not rush our nightly reading time. We talk about how I rock her in the rocking chair and sing her to sleep when she's a baby and how she can sing on her own now that she's a little girl. We talk about how it was so much fun when we went on a plane ride to visit family. How I kiss her owies away. Overall, great book for me.

A beautiful book, for kids and parents both!
“If I could keep you little, I’d kiss your cuts and scrapes… but then I’d miss you learning from your own mistakes. If I could keep you little, I’d tell you stories every night… but then I’d miss you reading the words you’ve learned by sight. If I could keep you little, I’d keep you close to me… but then I’d miss you growing into who you’re meant to be!”[excerpt]Currently hiding my tear stained cheeks behind the world’s sweetest children’s book ever … Mommas, if this is one you don’t yet own, you need it. Go buy it now. It’s the sweetest! You need this book. Oh, and while you’re adding it to your cart, go ahead and add a box of Kleenexes as well, because you’ll definitely need some of those too.
