Sterling Creek Silky Soft 3-Piece 100% Bamboo Viscose Duvet Cover Set (Queen, Light Gray)

I have been a fan of bamboo ever since the joys of middle-age and early hot flashes have besieged me. This duvet is actually 100% bamboo, it is exactly the same weight and texture as my 100% bamboo sheets.Bamboo beats cotton in every single aspect except durability, and texture to a slight degree. Whereas 100% cotton feels thick and crisp, bamboo is it’s complete antithesis, it is thinner and super soft. It’s as soft is microfiber but beats microfiber in every way. When you sleep with bamboo sheets and covers you will not overheat, trust me, I have not woken up sweaty and hot since I got my new sheets and duvet.As you will see in my photos bamboo does wrinkle worse than 100% cotton. I don’t mind it, and it doesn’t look bad. It gives your bedding kind of a shabby chic look, kind of a farmhouse look. It’s not wrinkled to the point where it looks bad, it just looks soft and comfortable and well lived-in.As far as durability, you do have to be more careful than with cotton. When you wash it it should be cold on the delicate cycle, with a good detergent like Woolite. Put it in the dryer on low to medium and let it take it’s time drying and then once it’s almost completely dry turn the heat up to high for about 10 to 15 minutes and then immediately remove it from your dryer. If you do that you will not get wrinkles. The wrinkles you see in my photo are because I let it sit in my dryer for too long after it was dry. If you take care of it it will last you just as long as cotton. If you wash it too frequently, too roughly, or too warmly it will wear quicker. Just treat it well and take care of it and it will last a long time. it will also get even softer and cozier after a few washes.The color I purchased was called spa blue and the photos on the listing made me think it was going to be more of a baby blue color. My sheets are baby blue, as you can see the duvet cover has more gray in it. It’s actually a very pretty stormy blue color and I am not unhappy with it at all. It looks fantastic against white accents.The king size fits my standard king duvet perfectly, there are ties in the corner to hold your duvet in place. I don’t use them because the weight of my duvet holds it inside just fine.If there were any one thing that I would change it would be to add a zipper rather than the ties on the end. The ties are not really long enough to tie securely but that is not a big deal to me.I would absolutely positively recommend this!

So far, overall, I am happy with the item. The fabric is soft and smooth, definitely wrinkle resistant. It does add some nice weight to the comforter which is nice. Slept comfortably in it. I did notice that the tags on the pillow cases had a different collection name on them and they said they were made of 100% polyester. However, the Duvet had the tag that said Sterling Creek and said it was made of 100% Bamboo Fabric. Interestingly, the two fabrics felt exactly the same, so I am not confident of which material these items were made with. Although, this was the only white duvet cover I could find with these dimensions which is what I needed.

This is very soft!! A bit difficult to launder. I don’t suggest this luxurious feeling/looking duvet for a bed that will have pets or young children climbing around. It will look messy quickly, and wrinkle. Not sure about how it will hold up after multiple washes. More in time!

What you see is what you get. Very cool and soft. Great ties to keep duvet in place. Much of the wrinkling disappears after a few days.

Both the corner ties to the comforter and the bowties to wrap the comforter inside the cover are way too short to tie quickly. I would need the to be 50% longer for ease of use. Otherwise, this is a great product. Comfortable. Looks great. Probably perfect for use by two people, but for a single person sleeping in a queen sized bed, this is too big.

I bought this duvet because it is one of very few options that would fit an oversized comforter (92x96). I wanted to have my comforter drape over the sides of the bed and not get scrunched up within the duvet. This worked out perfect, and it is very soft as well. I would have given the product 5 stars if it had snaps instead of ties and if the material was a little thicker, as the pattern on my comforter does show through slightly.

I really like this product. The duvet is lightweight and very soft but I have a large warm comforter so it's perfect. It fits my king size mattress great and is a soft gray color. Some threads did come loose when I washed it but for the price I think it's decent quality.

Nice fabric feel, color and sheen. I just wish it had button closure instead of so many ties and fasteners to keep comforter spread across corners
